Patton Oswalt said:
A lot of people have been doing these "name your favorite movie for each year you were alive" lists. Finally gave in and did mine.

I'm a HUGE movie buff but I was surprised, looking back, at how many so-called "classic" movies did not hold up. And I'm sure it will cause a lot of arguments when a few of these years I just couldn't pick ANY film that I think held up as a favorite.

But the ones I did choose all have something amazing about them. Whether it's a lead performance, or an amazing voice acting role, or even someone just in the background not doing much of anything and just having one line of dialogue, each of the films I selected, I'm sure, will be recognized for having a shared element of genius and quality in them, an element that will someday be cherished and celebrated.

Enjoy:

Patton's stories about the production of Blade: Trinity and how Wesley Snipes stayed in character for some insane reason are truly something magical.

When I met him I was like, “Hi!” And he was like, “I’m Blade.”

So we went out that night to some strip club, and we were all drinking. And there were a bunch of bikers there, so David says to them, “I’ll pay for all your drinks if you show up to set tomorrow and pretend to be my security.” Wesley freaked out and went back to his trailer. [Laughs.] And the next day, Wesley sat down with David and was like, “I think you need to quit. You’re detrimental to this movie.” And David was like, “Why don’t you quit? We’ve got all your close-ups, and we could shoot the rest with your stand-in.” And that freaked Wesley out so much that, for the rest of the production, he would only communicate with the director through Post-it notes. And he would sign each Post-it note “From Blade.”

Patton continues to be great and doing great things. I'm excited to see him this weekend.

Funny how I didn't get suspicious until I saw 22 Jump Street listed.

That's when I looked back and realized what the list actually was.

Brillent.
