Isn't it more likely that this is just a PC build than an Xbox one?

Not that you didn't know that, but others might not.

After this I'm expecting a PC or XB1 announcement by the end of September. There's no reason for a UI designer to make professional-looking Xbox controller button prompts if the game is 100% PS4 exclusive until the end of time.

Why would the Xbox port show the ps1 memory card?

Why not? It's a nostalgia thing and it's not like the PS4 version had "Playstation" written on the image.

The exclusivity of this game and its communication has been such a trainwreck. Had it come to any other system first, Gaf would have lost their minds over the messaging.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
So now Xbox fans can soon experience the frustration of earning a Gold relic on High Road...

DS4s work just fine on PC, so I highly doubt these prompts were made for development builds. That said, nothing is set in stone, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Sometimes a game has these auto button detection things in on dev builds to make pc testing easier for people but it would be damn nice if it's more then that.

I mean

  • Nobody ever called it an exclusive. Ever.
  • Except for PSIreland twitter that deleted their tweet minutes later again
  • A PR spokesperson avoided answering wether it is exclsuvie or not when asked in favor of saying "It's going to release on Playstation 4 in June"
  • The marketing of this game has always been using 60FPS footage, despite PS4 and PS4Pro rendering it at 30FPS
  • Now the UI artist uploaded a version with xbox prompts.

Do we really need more evidence lol?

Why Sony and Activision are still not saying anything, when it's so obviously not a permanent exclusive is just annoying at this point.
The game has probably sold more than it ever will on Xbox, PC or Switch individually, so they can't be too worried about lost sale at this point.
