In sales it still got quite a while to reach them.
In concurrent players? It's at CS:GO levels, so probably a little higher than OW on PC. It'll become #1 of concurrent players by December.

Will be an instant purchase for me (providing performance is good) on PS4. Hope that there's not too long a wait.

I think OW on PC is huge, more than CS:GO and PUBG.
It's now trading punches with CSGO in concurrent players, which has been out for 5 years and sold 32M copies.
I don't think we have concurrent player data or a precise number of copies by platform for Overwatch.
Now 60hz servers please. I greatly enjoy connecting to Chinese servers with 400 ping and Matrixing my way around the map frying panning 10+ people a match while dodging their bullets but it's not much fun getting shot in cover or having your bullets simply not land due to desync and latency.

Easily. Unless they screw it up, PUBG is probably going to sell three or more million just on X1 by end of year. There's a strong hunger for it on consoles.

Its got a long way to go to even reach Overwatch. Been a year and the games just had record players.
CS:GO is at ~31.26m owners and currently sitting at 437k players to PUBG's 505k.
Blizzard generally keeps sales and player data close to its chest. We know Overwatch has amassed 30m+ players in total since release, but the figure is somewhat dubious as it'd include those whose only brush with the game was a Free Weekend, of which there have been a few.
And it ain't on consoles yet.

I'm not sure how a battle royale game can even be called generic yet.
There's been a mod, a side mode in H1Z1 and this game and that's it, all designed by the same guy.
Probably will do so before console release.
