According to Capcom, the polls from Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom era is what made them to include Mega Man X since there are so many requests for him being part of the roster. I can't speak for other characters' inclusions but it's plausible that the poll might have some kind of influence over other characters' inclusions like Venom and Sigma.
It's more likely Capcom and Marvel already decided with their roadmap for Character Pass 2018 but I don't think it's too late for us to push our characters forward and make our voice more loud to get our beloved characters in the future, like Character Pass 2019 if they are being successful with their contents.
Feel free to support any characters you want to see in the game and do not let people change your mind with the votes. Just vote with your heart.

- YOU CAN VOTE FOR FOX CHARACTERS IF YOU WANT TO SEE THEM IN THE GAME. THE BANS FOR THEM IS ALREADY LIFTED.
- Vote for 3 Capcom Veterans, 3 Marvel Veterans, 3 Capcom Newcomers, and 3 Marvel Newcomers so you are voting for 12 characters in total.
- You must fill out every slot so please don't leave any slot empty.
- You must not alter the numbers of characters. Basically please don't make a post like 2 Capcom veterans and four Marvel veterans because it would get yourself DQ.
