I don't have anything hugely rare / expensive, but I have:

45934_426231808074_665928074_5008972_6256754_n.jpg

A Boxed Sega 32X w Instructions, the packaging is complete and even has the plastic bags everything originally came in. I was lucky buying this It only cost me £45 but they are usually going for £100+ in this condition on ebay.

A copy of pier solar (reprint edition) you cant find these on ebay uk and there are only 2 on ebay US going at around 170$ those are still sealed though. but I can imagine even my opened copy being worth quite a bit down the line.

It cost me about $200 to get those when they were released a few years ago. I also have a copy of Xenogears Perfect Works. I don't really have any real rare stuff.

aw, man...you had some nice shit in there, too.

i never won that Ryo statue, so it's not gonna happen. like the other guy, though, id love to know where you got that movie-style MGS3 poster from! so gorgeous.

I love that Ryo statue. Hope you find one eventually my friend.

The Metal Gear 3 poster, I believe, was issued to Japanese game shops to promote the game. There was a guy way back when that had a ton of awesome promo MGS posters for sale. That's the only one I could afford to buy at the time. I wish I would've bought this one when I had the chance:

From wikipedia :
Aside from these Zelda Limited Edition Paks available in store, Nintendo created the Limited Edition Collector's Box, which contained The Minish Cap, the golden Triforce SP, a long-sleeved shirt and a hat. Only 300 boxes were made worldwide and each one is certificated. These Collector's Boxes were not for sale in stores anywhere, but could only be won or bought in the Nintendo Stars Catalogue for 15,000 stars.[35]

But i'm thinking about selling it to get some money for the psvita.

i have a feeling you could buy a couple Vitas for what that would sell for, if marketed and timed correctly (holidays)

My most expensive and rare gaming items are purely digital. I own some rare TF2 hats. I also own some weird promotional stuff here and there mainly from Nintendo products.

time this with Christmas / release of the new Wii Zelda = PS Vita and a new pair of high quality jeans

i'm just saying

Nobody got Rakugaki Showtime? It was pulled from the shelves, wasn't it?

I have a sealed Japanese Dreamcast version of Twinkle Star Sprites. Apparently it was worth about £60 a while back, not too much. Got the Biohazard Sound Chronicles too which is the soundtracks for Biohazard 0 through 4. Pretty awesome, and numbered.

Here's my Nights into Dreams collection.

I still have the original unopened that came with the 3D controller for Sega Saturn.
Also have the Wii release as well as the Christmas edition.

Pick up the PS2 remake too!

Juno

LIAR and a FELON
In gaming terms I've yet to receive, but probably this

re3_survivor_570.jpg

It's exclusive to Europe but the UK was only available on through Gamestation.

The numbers were really limited, and it's been a bit of a farce as a lot of people I've heard from who pre-ordered months ago have been emailed and told their order was canceled (it sold out about a month before release), due to allocation problems.

You can get versions of the boxset from around Europe - but things like the Journal I guess won't be in English.

The RRP is £99.99, but they're going for £170+ on Ebay already.

Not sure whether to open it or save for posterity.

So is Metroid Prime Trilogy now becoming a rarity? I was at Gamestop and saw a used one for $69.99! When did this happen?

NoA discontinued it after a month of availability, but I've seen copies in Walmarts as of this day. It's really not that difficult to find. I got my copy from Target for $28 thanks to an awesome sale they had shortly after it came out.

I have lots of other goodies too, but this is the only one I have a photo of.

The one thing I really wish I had: Earthbound CIB. I've never played an Earthbound/Mother-game.

I can't believe people aren't commenting on this. This cartridge is worth as much as most of your cars ($16000-$18000). There's only 26 in the world.

Wow, I don't collect much but probably just my original copies of FFVII, and Dragon Quest VII as well as their strategy guides

You can't put a price on something from the heart.

I have a bunch of "expensive" stuff. But I really like a few stuff.

This one. I know a guy that likes Vegas hookers and Japanese porn. He sent me this. Has Daigo's signature to me, the best Street Fighter player in the world and Seth Killian, Capcom community manager.

MarkMan? I have no idea who that guy is. Probably some random guy walking around signing stuff.

Anything I have listed, is used but still has boxes and such.

PC:
Empires: Dawn of the Modern World
Grim Fandango (non-jewel case)
Simpsons: Bart's House of Weirdness
Vampire - Bloodlines

SNES:
Final Fight Guy

N64:
Conkers: Bad Fur Day
Harvest Moon 64
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - Limited Edition (hologram gold cart)
Super Smash Bros.

PSX:
Harvest Moon: Back to Nature

I got more. Now I need to check when I get home.

DCharlie

And even i am moderately surprised
Previously had but now sold :

Cannon Dancer (PCB) - this has started going for SILLY money recently.
Tobe! Polystars (PCB) - not a big money item, but was nice to have an M2 game
Rendering Ranger(SNES) - epic shmup/run and gun from Turrican guys
Eliminate Down(MD) - fairly rude covered MD shmup

Now :

Ltd Edition Cave print : Mushihimesama - 1 of 1000 i think, gorgeous framed print
Ltd Edition Cave print : Dodonpachi DOJ - 1 of 1000 i think, gorgeous framed print
Custom one of arcade art commissions - will dig out photos later
Stainless steel Halo Plasma sword - one of 70 (i think) - actually fairly dangerous
Dodonpachi DOJ (PCB) - not exactly rare or -that- expensive in the grand scheme but a nice game to have
too much other stuff to think of... Panzer Dragoon Saga, all the ps2 shmups, all the released Cave art books, Halo limited prints, etc etc.

The big theme of this year is TO SELL STUFF.

By the end of the year i want the game collection down from around 3800 to around 500. SNES and MD have been gutted down to around 15 each that i'm keeping hold of (none really expensive, all have sentimental reasons for being kept and they are mainly 100-200yen games)

Some stuff though i can't ever part with - the Cave prints and books are insanely gorgeous.

We've had it ever since I was a kid. So I've no clue. You could buy a mint one from England for about $8,000 US. But I'd sell for around $4,000.

Would an original print US copy of LittleBigPlanet (before the pre-launch recall) count?

Grabbed it off of eBay because I didn't want to wait for the delayed release :lol

This is what I would have posted in the thread too, it's a lovely thing. (Though mine is a UK one with a UK plug.)

I've never ever seen one getting sold though, so I've no idea of its actual worth.

I have a brand new, shrink-wrapped Valkyrie Profile 1 that I got for $20 about 8 years ago, as well as brand new, shrink-wrapped copies of Suikoden 1 and 2.

I have nothing myself, but my younger brother won this two years ago (sorry for crappy 3DS pic):
wiq0ax.jpg

Pokémon Video Game World Championships 2009 DSi
It was given to the top 8 players in each of the two divisions, so in theory, there are 16 of these out in the wild. There are similar ones for 2008 and 2010 (this year, it was a standard 3DS I think). It's not worth that much (at the moment), but it does qualify as 'rare' :)

Nice. I have all that stuff too. I actually bought a used Saturn that had a copy of Christmas NiGHTS in it!! Didn't realize it until I went to put the original NiGHTS game into the system and the disc was in there. Best surprise ever.

I bought Conker's Bad Fur Day sealed for 15 euro's last year at a local flea market.

And I own a megadrive with the sega cd and the 32x. Have some games that need both.

I would love to get my hands on an English copy of Aquanauts Holiday and compare it to my Endless Ocean/Endless Ocean 2 experiences. Generally I just want any game that explores the oceans like that. Does anybody have both where they could compare the two?

Holy damn I have a mint 1st print collector copy of Pier Solar, didn't realise they were already worth so much.
Some guy wants 700 dollars for one on eBay :O
