The release date for Zone of the Enders HD Collection in Japan for PS3 and 360 is October 25 2012.

- They are releasing a variety of models and action figures the ZoE series in June and July as well.

- Both the Idolo OVA and the Dolores,i TV anime will be released on blu-ray.

- They are also releasing a new music album with remixes, as well as re-releasing the Anubis OST.

- I was wrong about the platforms, it's only coming out on PS3 and 360 in October. I see no Vita announcement at all. Lol.

- The retail release will be 3,980yen for PS3 and 360 versions, and there will be a PSN digital version going for 3,480yen. They also plan on releasing it on XBLA, but the date and price is not confirmed at this time.

- 8,980yen will get you the Premuim Package.

I don't think it's in-house. KojiPro worked on what they needed to in-house (like remastering the FMV and so on), but Kojima definitely mentioned that the producer of the collection flew to Texas at some point (I think after the Rising announcement) to oversee work on this, so it's almost certainly Blue Point doing the actual conversion.

Yeah, I knew about TS no longer existing, but I'd have thought Konami would treat one of their most popular/beloved franchises with a bit more care and respect.

And even if Team Silent did exist, they never had the pull Kojima has (which is obviously why one has most of the talent in the company working under a studio with his name on it and the other is dead and buried). Why people continue to bring up the SH collection in these threads, I have no idea, Kojima never would've let that happen.

It's almost as ridiculous as the people that always beg Kojima to direct ZOE3 when Murata's the one responsible for the series.

Anyways, it looks amazing. Can't wait for it.

Um... I hope that's just bad JPEG compression in those shots. How is everyone in this thread saying that they look great? It looks like there's absolutely zero anti-aliasing being applied in these shots.

The "problem" was/is, that the SH games never ever came close to the popularity of the MGS series. The PS2 SH games were beautiful and had great atmosphere. They were a bunch of very talented developers, just because they have been disbanded doesn't mean they aren't talented. How many studio's have been buried this gen? But i'm pretty confident that if Team Silent still existed they wouldn't have released that piece of turd called SH HD Collection, not in that state. Masahiro Ito, the art director for SH2 & 3 called the HD collection poor and was surprised it was released in that state and he has been criticizing the HD collections for weeks, especially denouncing the new textures.

Zone of the Enders 2167 Idolo (the anime OVA which was part of the ZoE1 LE package) is coming out on blu-ray in Japan too. Dated for Oct 24 2012.
