The nintendo brand is finally over. Maybe next decade!

It's over, period. nintendo lost their last ace, and that's the end of their wii u hopes and dreams.

It's not hyperbole, it's not fanboy drivel. It is LITERALLY it for wii u. nintendo has nothing left, nothing they have can fix the hole now created. There is no reason left for anyone, hardcore or casual, to substantially invest in a wii u. Except if they want to play bayonetta 2. Which will also come to xbox one at some point.

Microsoft took the last reason away that anyone would NEED to own a wii u over an xbox one (except TVII LOL GAMING), and the cavalcade of tiny titles that will be nice but won't stir up any sales is not going to salvage the bloated, overdesigned behemoth that was wii u.

There may be some hardcore gamers that stick around. Some did it for ps3 too. But the last bell tolled. Maybe next decade.

The age of nintendo is done.

While it's great for Dragon Quest fans, I really can't see Square Enix grabbing a new audience this way when they already have well known MMOs on PC like FFXI and the upcoming FFXIV: ARR.

Another issue is that the game will still be sadly limited by the Wii like FFXI and the PS2.

I don't get why people are so shocked about this. I knew this would happen sooner or later. It is like the FF Online game

Then goes on to post hyperbole and seemingly fanboy drivel. Come on now.

Are you serious?

Yes. It's confirmed.

If I understand things correctly, DQX is a "Channel" system -- your characters are universal and can play on any "server," and you can switch at will.

Also: Given how LITTLE Japanese text I'm seeing on this comments stream, I'm guessing that US viewers only see US comments on Nico Nico. There's no way there wouldn't be an ああああああ chain going on here.

Livestream:

They're showing off a Slime themed controller that is an obvious Dualshock clone. Thought I heard Hori mentioned, wouldn't surprise me since they usually do the DQ stuff.

Ya, You're right! Nintendo has always relied on third party companies because their first party output is so terrible and doesn't sell hundreds of millions of copies each generation...

There's absolutely no way they'd have Nintendo be there and announce a port. It would be a huge slap in the face and they don't do that kinda thing.

Hahaha, poor Genki Yokota! =P

Well, hopefully it means a Western release soon!
