Checked Metacritic:

Eurogamer Germany 90

IGN Italy 85

Eurogamer Italy 80

Meristation 80

Vandal 78

Seems the game is better received in Europe?

My review's here.

Decent combat, but way too easy to skate through. Cool graphics, but the gigolo missions are a horror show.

Gamereactor: 7/10

"If you enjoy Grasshopper Games, you'll probably end up liking this one as well. There's still a good amount of Suda-moments, such as a scene with a rhino in it or a certain sequence where a man gets run over by a train".

I played through the Xbox 360 version of KiD and screen-tearing wasn't something that I noticed very much of. There were a couple of minor instances but it was definitely nothing drastic.

My print review will be in GamesTM magazine next month but here's my two cents in video form. I really liked the game, but I found it impossible to talk about without losing my shit a little about that horrific Matt Lees video from last month. I lose my cool at the 4m mark if that's your poison

I have a feeling the launch editions are going to be available long enough for price drops.

Edit:
I'll still be buying the game and probably greatly enjoying it but these scores for a niche product published by Xseed do not give confidence to retail success.

Well still looking forward to my copy at least. Will read a review or two and see if my thoughts line up after I finish it.

Something about effing off into space I hear.

Disappointed though, visually I thought the game looked interesting.

:( DAMMIT! I wanted this to be good!!!!!

It can still be good. Getting such scores does not mean the game is bad, but it certainly means that it does not follow the strict rules and guidelines of "how to push the player's right buttons in a directed gameplay-like experience" that so many games mastered in this gen.

That said, I do not care either way, I found Killer 7 extremely not for my taste, and will continue to just...watch the drama unfold.

Goddamn, what the fuck happened Suda51? :(

NMH & Killer 7 will forever be the only decent action games he made? :(

Time for him to get back to the adventure titles then. Flower Sun & Rain DS was pretty dope.

These reviews really should not come to a surprise to anyone.

When you buy a Suda game, you know it's gonna be a janky, barely playable mess. You just go in accepting that his signature weirdness should be enough to carry the experience.

Other than No More Heroes, however, I think all of his games suck ass.

He was involved in Shadows of the Damned which I thought played better than either of those titles.
