Lmao just killed a scammer's time.

Anybody else do this? Time spent with me is time not scamming someone else.

Ah. Guy said he needed to get control of my computer to resolve a virus, I bullshitted him for a bit until he got bored and hung up,

It was around 9 o clock, I had just purchased pirates of the Caribbean 2 since my gf had a hankering for it. We were trying to play it but it Gould not come on for some reason. She was looking for the Microsoft technical support line but called the wrong number and hung up. The guy called back twice so after the second time I talked to him a bit, messing with him asking why he would need to get on my computer if all I needed was to figure out how to play the movie. He said I might have viruses and whatnot, I even used the "I am using Linux" line I learned from gaf haha. He eventually just hung up after about 5 mins.

We've had threads like this and people talked about how they would/will mess with scammers just so they don't mess with the more naive but apparently my storytelling is atrocious. Hopefully I can get better at it.

Me too. And I also won't share any details

Edit: ^OP tells a legendary story full of vivid detail, dastardly villians, women and hidden treasure that all started with a phone call. Simply take the time to read this thread and find out for yourself

You talking about the Indian sounding people who call and tell old people that they have a virus? Then use Skype or team viewer to take control of their stuff?

Yeah. Heard the best way is to sell a digital code on eBay, have them pay, send them the code, then use the code. They won't be able to scam you and you might be able to get the money back from PayPal, for something.

yeah i love doing that. there was this guy who bought a digital game code from me once, but he was really a scammer (i just knew it in my heart of hearts), so i just took his money and redeemed the code myself. almost got scammed, but lol, i bet that scammer is mad :p

You're probably just one of the many options he has available to him. He might go for the kill if you sounded indecisive and vulnerable, so if that's the way you wanna bait him to waste both of your time, it might work. I usually feed false information if they are persistent.

A good scammer might be able to scam his mark twice, consecutively, in the span of very few minutes. Won't that be interesting to behold?

In Mexico there is (was?) a common scam where a northern-sounding person would call and pretend to be your cousin who lives in the US. Well, they tried (and failed :p) twice with me, but the second time I spent at least 30 minutes talking with my "cousin" and asking him all kinds of stupid questions, it was interesting testing his creativity. Then I told him "I don't really have a cousin in the US" and ended the call.

Oh yeah, I've led a couple of the Nigerian email senders on for quite a while; sounding interested enough each time to keep them responding but ultimately bullshitting around and giving them no info, before sending them cocks. I traded many emails with what was clearly a guy trying pose as a girl. He sent me photos of some random woman. I eventually agreed to send him one of mine and it was actually a 3D furry horse thing with a huge dick leaking jizz. Another guy got a photo of some male porn star with a giant boner. One responded and went ape shit, cursing at me in hilarious, broken English. He mad.

I've been getting those calls recently too haha. Telling me I have a windows error and shit. When I asked why hes calling from a unknown number and what not he just kept asking me if I was near my computer. I kept copying him then finally hung up when I was bored.

They called back like 2 days later, so stupid.

I do two things:

1. I lead them on for about 30sec, then out of nowhere I bashee scream into the phone and hang up.

2. During their opening pitch I yell, "That's my purse! I DON'T KNOW YOU!" and hang up.

Whenever a game uses "middleware," I expect mediocrity. Just see how poor TLOU looks.

I remember that MESS of a thread. I remember the mod title change as well lol

I hope you elaborated a story where the two of you experimented, asking him if he remembered and goading him into providing details.

Dude was trying to take control of my comp, damn. Thought gaf was about one upping these dudes my bad did not expect the hostility.

What hostility? People want details. You cant just make a thread about a scammer and have the content of the story be ''LMAO''

.

Bullshitted him how? did you offer pics of you in suggestive poses? did you ask him his a/s/l? what?
