Tickets are now on sale for Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Age of Ultron (get your tickets by clicking here!), but to make things just a bit more interesting, AMC Theaters and Regal Entertainment Group are planning “The Ultimate Marvel Marathon” featuring every single Marvel Studios film. Spanning over 27 hours, the event will begin on April 29 with Iron Man and conclude April 30 with Avengers: Age of Ultron. The schedule for AMC theaters will go as follows:

6:00pm IRON MAN

8:25pm THE INCREDIBLE HULK

10:35pm IRON MAN 2

1:00am THOR

3:10am CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER

5:30am THE AVENGERS

8:48am IRON MAN 3

11:15am THOR: THE DARK WORLD

1:45pm CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER

4:20pm GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

7:00pm AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (RealD® 3D)

Both chains, as well as Cinemark, will also be doing an “Avengers” double feature of 2012’s The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron as well. You can get your tickets for the event at AMC, Regal, and Cinemark, each featuring their own perks, by clicking the respective theater.

So tempting, but there's so much school I have... :(

bought my imax tickets for Lincoln square. Not on the 30th :( but got better seats for the 1st. Really surprised how fast those tickets went.

Trailer actually makes me look forward to watching this in theaters, it looks pretty fun

Kinda wish they went with DOFP style quicksilver in here though. That kind of speed looks better than what Whedon is doing here and avengers interaction with a sort of humorous nuisance character would have been hilarious

Hopefully they watched the raid series before they decided to give black widow dual batons, I want to see her put in work with them

I dont mind. If there's going to be two different quicksilvers in two different franchises, they should be different in how they're depicted. Would be boring if their character and the way their speed is depicted was the same.

So yeah, I should probably change my options.

- Double-feature on campus w/ my girlfriend
- Marvel Marathon back home w/ my little brother

Which one? I'll take the other one that's not chosen for opening night eventually, but not immediately. Little bro will get to see it opening weekend at the latest, girlfriend may have to wait a week.

So uh, in the new trailer did anyone notice how the black bars just kept moving up and down like crazy? Like it was...shaky all over the place ._.

Ohana comes first.

Marvel accidentally turned on Auto-Stabilization for some reason. It wasn't there before, & I posted a version of the video that doesn't move around like crazy in the OP.

Seeing as the two of us (my little bro & I) saw every MCU movie together, I guess it makes sense. I have to make sure I'm free Thursday & Friday.

Someone in charge of the Marvel YouTube account accidentally turned on YouTube's built in stabilization feature. It wasn't like that originally.

Ah I see. That is the stupidest youtube feature ever.

Like, do you sleep during the marathon? Seems weird not to break it up over a couple days.

Sleep... what? We watched every phase 1 movie before seeing the Avengers movie. Only recently we watched every Marvel movie out there in one sitting (up to Guardians).

Did the same for every Raimi & Webb Spidey flick, Star Wars movie (first Star Wars movie I saw in the cinema was Ep 2), LOTR movie and Hobbit flick.

Heck we're about to have a LOTR/Hobbit extended marathon where we watch Hobbit 1-3 extended followed by LOTR 1-3 extended.

There is no way in hell anyone of us is going to fall asleep during any of the franchises we marathon. We are going to skip 2 days of university just to finish Phase 1 & 2 in time for the april 23rd Age of Ultron premiere. There's no stopping the hype-marathon-train.

You mean how there's barely any change in speed even though they want you to think there was a change in speed?

Your rep is saved.
Yup. Adding the ghosting effect really isn't convincing me that he's going fast. It literally looks like Whedon filmed the scene and asked Evans to hold still while they pretend to punch him, then let the CG department take over after the punch. There doesn't seem to be much forethought into how they were going to convey his sense of speed.

You saw... maybe 1 sec of the ghosting effect.

Not helping your case here

I'm sure you're right, it's just hard for me to conceive of skipping a night of sleep. I'd be totally wrecked. :)

I know we're all hyped for this but I agree. I wouldn't say it looks "fucking terrible" (*sigh* hyperbole) but it doesn't look so good. In the trailer. I will wait until the full movie.

They've shown the same effect in at least three different instances now in different trailers.

It looks like a fun movie. I'll catch it. But Quicksilver looks like shit. It's okay. Not everything can be perfect. Maybe Singer set my expectations for the character too high.

This is YouTube thing, right? I'm often asked after uploading video from PS4, if I want to stabilize my video. And the answer is always, no YouTube, stop acting like you know what's best for my video!

Well not everyone is capable of doing insane marathon runs. I'm usually wrecked after that too but surprisingly never tired during the actual movies. It's a win/win situation because I only notice the lack of sleep after I'm done with the movies AND I'm at home which means I'll have an incredible relaxing night due to falling asleep almost instantly.

It probably has something to do with the fact that we are usually incredibly hyped during a marathon.

And in those 3 instances it was, maybe, 1 sec each. I don't see how you can judge how fast he was going by that.

But still the Quick Silver in the MCU is not going to move so fast that bullets move at a snails pace. And I'm glad, last thing I need is the characters leaving him behind for no damn reason other than he makes everyone else useless.

Visually though I like it much more than dofp speed effect witch looked like your average quick speed effect.

They need to seriously stop showing that damn hulk vs iron man fight. I feel like I have watched the whole fight in the trailers and when I watch it in theaters it will only add 3-4 more seconds of it. I demand they stop!

Quicksilver looked ok, but I hope the final product is better in the movie then in that trailer.

All that bitching about singer's bastardisation of the character but honestly I don't see this one being nearly as entertaining as his speed looked in dofp

Not a fan of the ghosting they're using either. But whatever the rest of the movie looks cool

And no it's not out of my Scust for the mcu that makes me think this, I'm not that petty, if it's good then it's good. This quicksilver ain't looking so hot tho.

This looks like the Smallville speed effect.
