PlayStation Press Conference in Japan on Sep 13

Well the translation was a bit amusing at times.:p Honestly at least like the first half as a whole seem good. Not really a bad conference in the end.

Yikes, pretty disappointing. Not many new games, just release dates for some already announced ones. Sony Japan's IPs are dead.

The most interesting thing was the new initiative to target kids to the PlayStation brand.
The Acquire VR game looked neat too.

As a new gunpla builder I'm excited about the new Gundam game, which should have a global release according to bandai namco.

The only problem I had with the conference is that there was too much talking about non game stuff.

Also I expected more info about FFXV pro mode, but I guess we'll get that in the coming days.

So we putting all our hope into PSX. Then we'll have the same reaction then put all the hopes on E3 then TGS and repeat the cycle.

Can't include E3 when the last two have been pretty legendary.

PSX was actually pretty freaking awesome if you cared about FFVIIR and NNK2, etc.

Thank goodness for CEO Kaz Hirai. Always there to make the bad better.

This was what I thought. I'm a little perturbed by the all overreactions I'm seeing.

Agreed. It was a conference designed for the Japanese market, and it delivered on that. Not a bad conference at all. I rather liked it, even if they didn't really show off a ton of new stuff. Not every conference can be mind blowing.

The fuck? Last year we got new announcements for Gravity Rush Remastered, Gravity Rush 2, Bloodborne xpac, Hotshots Golf, Yakuza 6 & Kiwami, KoF XIV, Toukiden 2, Nioh, KH2.8, Danganronpa3, Setsuna, and that Vanillaware game + more

Last year was awesome

These had already been announced.

Last year was a LOT better, but it still wasn't all that great.

At the end of the day though it doesn't really matter because there are a toooooon of games I'm buying for my PS4 over the next 12 months.

idk, the opening montage was amazing, summer lesson VR, RE concert, kojima rambling, etc, pretty solid conference for me LOL

edit* probably also helps that I'm watching this at 2pm not 5am lol

New gundam vs series for ps4 so I'm hyped. Also new Saga!

They announced a bunch of stuff. Do you guys who are complaining even like Japanese games or just the huge ones that have more western appeal than they do eastern like RE and DMC?

Don't blame Sony.

They are working on PSVR games, they don't have the time to give you all the games you want.
It's hard enough to handle multiple devices

Keepin it real:

Nier automata release date
Nioh new trailer with delay till next year
No news from software since they just announced the trailer for the dlc
Berserk musou
Resident evil 7 new half cgi/gameplay trailer
Street fighter v second season.

Even worse than my ridiculous low expectations...

You sure? I just checked and they all seemed to have been announced for the first time at last years TGS?

Resident Evil 7 is not coming out in January, no way.

I agree. That's getting delayed.

There's an over an hour conference solely dedicated to RE7 at TGS itself that will be live-streamed airing this Saturday. Was debating if RE7 would show since Capcom has a close to an hour and a half event solely dedicated to RE7 coming up (and an over two hour conference all-together dedicated to RE in general, but the RE7 part alone is over an hour). So I would hold that thought for a bit longer.

Also they didn't have Nagoshi on the stage. Like the one year that they had to promote the shit out of Yakuza series with the new entry looking absolutely stunning, they decided to ditch that and put it in some remix video.

WTF is wrong with you Sony?!
