Yeah, I'm inclined to agree. The attention to detail will likely never be matched/topped. Not even by R*.Red Dead Redemption 2 is still top for me.

My ADHD brain is kicking in. Now I feel like I need to pick back up Tears on the Switch 2.

And we're done here...this is the answer...this is the only game and even better section of a game that I replayed simply because it was beautiful...I still think I have the save right before this moment on my ps3...It almost makes you forget mount cameltoe in the background.
But I'm trying to finish FFRemake on the Switch 2. Then I need to finish Cyberpunk on it too. Then start Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin's Creed Shadows as well.

But you have to play it on a CRT at OG resolution. Otherwise the backgrounds look too low res (or have upscaling artifacting/smearing).
It brought my Radeon 9700 laptop variant to its knees. I really didn't understand the concept of high frames per second at the time, I just knew that when I cranked the visuals up, it played like a slideshow. It was still gorgeous at the lower settings.I built my first PC for this game. AMD Athlon 64 3200+ and a Radeon 9800 Pro.
Cross when I played it for the first time a few years ago blew me away. The music and art direction is superb and transport you to a wonderful place.
