Forza Horizon 6 - Prologue Gameplay

Can't say I care about the location, PlayStation getting a chance to play Forza is cool, it's a franchise that worked for Microsoft for years.

Cant complain about anything(30fps will be 60 on pc anyways or even 120/unlimited w/e any image quality/setiings degradation) except weird look durning snow fragment, it somehow looked to me like wheels were artifically hovering above the snow, its probably just me imagining things, but couldnt unsee it, other than that game reminds me of ps4's driveclub, which is obviously very encouraging :)

FH5 is the only modern game I play multiple times a week to this day and I've had it since launch. Even if it was exactly the same but with just a new map / setting I'm sold. Whatever improvements they make are just icing on the cake for me.

Game is looking great but the intro races in FH5 were way more awesome and exciting than that. Dropped from a helicopter down a mountain , going into a sandstorm, flying through a jungle, then speeding out an airplane to the finish. This intro was tame as fuck.

Hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

PEAK!

This is the best preview for the game. Playground would have made more money by letting this channel promote it instead of IGN.

It best showcases the leap in detail across a larger map. It's truly a visual marvel.

Looks good - but that Horizon "style" with the way the announcer talks has always been cringe

I had hoped the announcer would be Japanese now at least so we did not have to understand the shit they say at least

Fuckin hell. Does not sound good. Whole article is worth reading, not posting excerpts. I skipped 5 (played it some though, just never bought), I will likely grab FH6 but on a 50% off sale or somethin just for the location alone.
If you are a sim racing fan like the writers on that site, you probably shouldn't be interested in a Horizon game.

Looks great. Day one! I'll be turning off the cringe announcer and the english voices though. It was/is absolutely unbearable in 5 with all the "modern audience" zoomer cringe

I tried 4 or 5. Don't know, maybe both but the tacked on music festival story was cringey as fuck so I deleted whichever I played before I even started racing. Can't be having that fucking shit in driving games.

Pretty sure that site covers all racing/driving games. Looks like they have multiple writers too.

As someone who enjoys sim racing, arcade racers are my favorite.

I've never seen a site devoted to racing that normally praises arcade games. I think most of their fans probably draw the line at simcades like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport.

I hope I can play in Japanese dub and not have to understand the awful dialogue (like the awful dialogue in FH5). Or, I guess it would be nice if it wasn't awful in the first place.

The introduction doesn't look very original considering it's Japan and they could showcase much more of what's to come. Thankfully that's not a major issue since it's only a couple of minutes before you unlock freeroaming.

Either I am missing something but how do you keep playing it multiple times per week, when you have exhausted (pun intended) the story.?...there are no missions to really do...I found that only by getting the HotWheels DLC did it breath new life into the game after all these years

FH5 has weekly events and challenges, plus you can create your blueprints for existing or brand new events. And of course there's multiplayer.

Obviously the way this game was built is not for everyone, I get serious fatigue after playing the game for 2-3 months and take long breaks before returning to it. I've got 200+ hours so far, but I know a guy with nearly a 1000 and he stils finds it enjoyable.

Come next month it'll probably end up like my copy of Horizon 3, ie just gathering dust, while I am looking at part 6!

They're probably holding back the PS5 release because FH5 hasn't been out that long, and FH6 would kill the sales. Very sensible if you ask me because FH5 seems to be doing great on PS5.

I hope they can squeeze a little more out of the Pro version when it is eventually released, with maybe some RT at 60fps.

I enjoy the weekly events and setting up a car just right to compete in the Rivals weekly challenge against other players online. Each week is essentially a new build (or one you've got dialed in previously). Playing this game for the story is funny to me because a "story" in a online racing game is laughable to me.

There are considerable improvements in graphics but somehow parts of the map look really uniform and sterile (plus traffic density is pathetic). I was even falling asleep watching the previews because of that. Not even FH5 has that level of redundancy with all the desert. Puts me in a very confused place as I should be excited by what I am seeing but instead I am drifting off to slumberland. Maybe the DLC will spice things up or they have some kind of rivals substory that has yet to be revealed...

Is the handling still simcade or arcade yet?
Hasn't it been both for a while? Choosing between Regular handling and Simulation handling seems to do the trick for me.

At least it's not as cringe as FH5's Spanglish with all that "Let's go Papito! Pendejo we are the numero 1 yiiihaa!" Guess not understanding Japanese helps.

But yea is it bad to hope the game flops so Playground could try to make something a bit more fresh?

Midtown Madness 4 would do
Project Gotham needs a revival first!!

Man this looks good. Also I miss my boy DonJuanSchlong DonJuanSchlong

The speed of this game is much better than 5.

Also, this is pissing me off. almost looks like everyone is playing it but not me. Like what the fuck man? I need to vanish for 1 month -_-

on the other side. i am really debating if i should go all out or just the base version. asking 180 after taxes for the ultimate version is pushing it a little for me. But I have spent so many hours, and the permenant double xp for it, along with the expansions, makes me really want to pull the trigger.
I can find it much cheaper on gg deals, but they are all MS store, and I kinda prefer to have it on steam in case I switch to steam OS soon or with the steam machine, etc.

DonJuanSchlong DonJuanSchlong is a forza legend. If anyone should get it early it's him.

I bought the expensive editions of FH4 and Fh5 and didn't regret it. The DLC is always good, and the car pass. I'd rather pay more for the Steam version too. MS store is ass.

I feel ripped off by Forza Horizon 5's Rally DLC. It is irredeemably boring and I have to really force myself to play the events that are all somehow worse than those found in the base game.

I am feeling the same thing..might just close my eyes and click on purchase the premium I guess .. just hard to swallow the price of 2 games in one lol

Edit: fuck it. just bought the premium version. I really love Forza Horizon series very much and its worth it.

not sure if they'll do italy again. I guess they never had a game that 100% focused on Italy, but still, FH2 was partially set in italy
It would fit the theme, snowy alps, lush piedmont valley, dry areas in the south with a ton of farm land, then add sicily as an area you unlock.
