Great OT.

I need a new game like I need a kick in the bollocks, but I'll be picking this up either today or tomorrow. I expect this game will take precedence over anything else until I've finished it.
 
For people already playing, how are the weapons on this one? Anything original or cool as the pylon thingy in returnal?

Nope, at least not yet for me. But I am really early. That's probably my only complaint.


I saw some finished in 9 hours. I am 8 hours in and I haven't even finished Biome 2.

So far, as of biome 3, no - pretty standard pistol/rifle/shotgun type stuff. Good, but nothing super interesting. Hoping that changes further in.

I don't think it's short seems a good length for single player story. I am at 15 hours with two levels to go after I beat this boss which is sure to pad out my game time lol. Generally I finish games in average amount of time this is looking like 20 hours ish

I'm a few hours in, and I love it. Once you get the controls down, it flows super smooth. Excited to see where the story goes.
 
Once again, the amount of negative and positive effects from artifacts are really low, just like in returnal, same goes to weapon traits. There is not a huge run variety because of this. Gameplay is god tier, but once you get the true ending, there is no point playing it more it seems like :(

Had two days off and been playing most of my available time since it dropped. The biggest tip is start runs earlier than your most recent teleport to build weapon proficiency. I haven't used the easy mode modifiers this way and beat most later biomes first try, after banging my head against the second one for hours
 
This game is 11/10 on gameplay and art and 6/10 on story. Still lands on 9/10 for me but the narrative payoff in Returnal was just leagues better.
 
I just messed around in the tutorial area a bit. It's good to be back. I skipped the stuff until he gets up. I'm in it for the visual experience and the gameplay. With as much talk about Returnal, you'd think they'd update it with some sorta bonus easier gimmick. By now they aren't making buckets of money off the game. They'd probably sell more copies with an easy mode. Just a thought. It's not like the hardcore crowd can get a refund for the game years later.
 
I want to jump in but I still have to finish Starfield (I´m around 50 hours deep now) and after that I wanted to continue with Crimson Dessert. James Bond is also on the horizon... This year is stacked as fuck!

I'm really enjoying this game. But I'm bad at this game. I can't beat the first boss, what is wrong with me? :messenger_sad_relieved:
 
About to jump in today for the first time. I had my fair share of deaths in Returnal and had long runs in multiple biomes to get strong to take out bosses. Now get to see for myself if Saros is really easier.
 
Wow, people are already beating it?? I was going to pick it up, but I think I might wait for a sale on this one. It does look cool, though!

Gonna start on the final final final boss again today. 3 hours last night and many good runs but never enough damage. He hits like a truck for all moves even with almost 200 resistance. FML.

Well there is trauma in his past for sure, and let's just say he is the type of indian guy you definitely not want to meet in a public bus in Dehli around 2012.
