We're at that point in the franchise's lifecycle where rockstar do not give a fuck about Console events or trade shows. So, yes it is a little crazy to expect them here.

They'll drop the final trailer on a random teusday when everyone's watching primetime tv and open the preorders the next day.

Obviously would not want more than 10 probably not even more than 5 minutes on Wolverine. Can't watch those Nintendo Directs because they have way too often way too detailed and usually super boring segments that would be kinda interesting as an unlockable in the game after I played it but way too much info beforehand. In depth looks should be separate things, not part of a presentation for several games. 2 or 3 good self explanatory trailers are much better than having to explain what is shown or what the devs where thinking in the design process or some other behind the scenes shit.

The problem with Sony is that the games need better graphics. Back in the PS3 era we had The Last of Us, now the games seem like they can just be ported to PS4, and that's not good. No graphics, no hype Wolverine will be cool because of the plot, but I don't believe the graphics will be much better than Spider-Man 2's.

Did the last trailer even had like 10-15 sec of uninterrupted combat or it was just a collage of gorey finishers?

I think they are gonna go with the safe route, one of the reason why they can kick games out so fast but i still want to see more, wolverine character doesnt really have exciting traversal methods like spidey where going from point a to b was already part of the fun, they need to focus all the gameplay effort for the combat so i expect at least something slightly different from spidey.

Wolvy is an heavy character so i hope the combat doesnt just look 1:1 with the arkham games but just with more gore and some meter to fill for 15 sec of rage power or some shit.

Sony does not need better graphics, they need better games, i would prefer to play all PS3 library of exclusives all over again ( they just need better resolution and frames, God be praised for RPCS3 ) than playing anything that Sony released in the PS5 generation.

i know, but if i had to choose, i would choose to have better games, Sony dropped the ball hard seeking for modern audiences validation and gaas, i hope they turn around next gen and go back to delivering great exclusive experiences as they did back in the PS2-3-4 era.

I would have thought that before, but with Xbox basically being a rounding error when it comes to physical sales numbers, it's all on Sony and their (now much more expensive) console to carry the heavy load of sales needed to cover the insane budget for this game.

Sure they could do their usual thing by releasing it on a random day of the week, but wouldn't it be in their best interest to do it in an event that promotes the main platform that the majority of their sales are going to rely on? In order to generate the most hype and increase in hardware sales and thus preorder numbers?

Rockstar doesn't need any console event for GTA VI. I don't think they're interested in sharing the gaming world's attention with other games... and especially I don't think the other unannounced games and studios at the event would be very happy or willing to share the spotlight with a GTA VI gameplay trailer

I think we'll get a Faye of War teaser and maybe a Intergalactic trailer (or will save one for SGF). I doubt we'll see gameplay of Intergalactic as I feel new Sony now hides anything like that until 4-5 months prior to release.

I also think we'll see a Resident Evil Code Veronica remake announcement from Capcom.
