There's a lot of Wolverine centered stories where's he's going on adventures and slicing and dicing. It actually does make sense for them to do this, my only problem is everyone standing around while their friends are being cut into pieces.

Sony will not release a handheld that isn't backwards compatible with the PS5 as a bare minimum. It'll be suicide for the device if they require you to purchase your games again. Reliable leakers have not made any such claim.

Well in all fairness, we haven't heard anything tangible publicly about the PS Handheld.


Also, it is worth noting most of the real rumors are not things that are usually said publicly.

The problem with Sony is that the games need better graphics. Back in the PS3 era we had The Last of Us, now the games seem like they can just be ported to PS4, and that's not good. No graphics, no hype Wolverine will be cool because of the plot, but I don't believe the graphics will be much better than Spider-Man 2's.

This. To put it in perspective Sony even released a Pro console and yet their games still look like ps4 pro games. Can't even be bothered to do anything special for the people that paid $900 for it outside of what? Pssr and 120 fps modes ...



I jusr played God of War 2018 and it may even look better than Ragnarok which came out in 2021 on a next gen consoles. That game was mind blowing when revealed now its 8 years later what does Sony have of that magnitude? Yotei 8 years later, exclusive to ps5, has the option to be played on ps5 pro and its assets and geometry are straight from the ps4.

We're in the anti graphics time period though. Sony saw how Nintendo operates and realized how much more money they could make by not putting the same resources into graphics. Switch 2 is out and Nintendo is making nothing but Switch 1 looking games. I suppose I should be grateful Sony at least makes a couple little improvements to their franchises on ps5 but its not enough.

Sony is going to have to work awfully hard here to make me care. During the PS5 generation, their offerings have been weak at best, IMO. And Insomniac? I'm sorry, I can't stand the hype they get; their open worlds that have fixed time of day, baked lighting, fixed weather, etc., I have had enough. My standards for open worlds are high after games like RDR2, Cyberpunk, AC Shadows, etc. If you're going to go open world, it needs to be dynamic, at least as far as I am concerned. When the so called open world feels "fixed" it doesn't feel alive or open to me, which is the whole point. Insomniac needs to get with the gen already, at least as far as I am concerned. Their hype has not been earned for several games, IMO.

Work, Sony. Work. You need to. I need a reason to turn my PS5 Pro on. I want to, but you make it hard.

Spiderman 2 is actually not popular within the fan base. Not because of wokism but because of the lackluster the story and lack of content in general. If you read opinions online you'll see how unpopular this game is unfortunately

Spider Man 2 was rushed IMO. I absolutely love Venmom plotline and it seemed like they cut out like a whole third act and rushed to the ending. Then side/post game content was absolutely atrocious.

Not open world. There'll be quite a bit of mobility within the levels, but still separate from each other. Like R&C Rift Apart. And given the story, I wouldn't be surprised if it's totally linear and doesn't allow for traveling back and forth, but that's just my speculation.

This might be to the games benefit. Spider-Man 2 seemed a little bit too lax-a-daisy and seemed to reliant on the open world traversal to sell the game.

But the very foundation of what makes Xmen is what many would consider to be "Woke" today. Multicultural team, Professor X being disabled, team members with mental disorders, Colossus being gay, etc.

I think you maybe just unintentionally touched on what I have noticed about when things get bashed as "woke" versus getting away with progressive themes. It's not just a matter of hitting the checkmarks I think the larger issue is if people feel like the product has no soul and is the result of some made-by-committee slop. If it's well written and has a lot of passion and emotion behind it people will (generally) be more okay with progressive messaging. Also any type of attack on intelligence of the audience (whether in the game or by the creators) is a big no no.

Isn't Colossus straight and often in a relationship with Kitty Pryde?

Also, Professor X being in a wheelchair isn't the crux of his entire character nor is the team being from different countries. The competent writers for X-Men know that shoving Storm's race, Professor Xavier's physical disability, or any of the other team member's shortcomings into stories that feel jarring or irrelevant is obnoxious and pandering. I would hate to read an X-Men comic where the entire issue is Storm bitching about being a black woman or Xavier complaining about his wheelchair not working and how the world hates disable people or some shit.
