Man certainly earned everything himself. I mean anyone after selling his paypall share would just lie on his $120mil till end of his life and would say fuck it. He didn't need to do anything in his life anymore.
Yet that weirdo put those 120mil into space company as complete amateur and electric car company. Both of those ideas at the time were insanely stupid.
Somehow he managed to be uber proficient in both made THE best space company ever and made succesful car company.
And stuff like founding OpenAI, Neuralink, Boring company etc. are his pet projects.

And the weirdest part about it is that this is not his curtain act. SpaceX is about to release starship that will be effectively a raiload to space opening whole new sector of space industries. Tesla is at the cusp of getting AI finally ready to be deployed everywhere, Neuralink is already putting chips that do magic, xAI actually makes money and so on.

I wouldn't be shocked if dude will be worth 20T in 20 years while everyone else is still chasing 1T.

And on top of that he actually makes something worth looking forward to.


Shit if starship goes operational going to space should be as easy as flying a plane, available to common man (starship price per kg is targeting less than $100)

at least Musks wealth you can track, you can follow and they even let you buy a portion of it (in terms of shares in his companies, not his literal net worth).

It's the money we aren't tracking, the money we can't go and follow/track that we should be more worried about.

Remember that Elon's "worth" of a trillion is actually funding peoples salaries and keeping people employed, running businesses etc.

Culture wars have been going on for thousands of years compared to class wars that were a very temporary thing. People outside their own group generally don't get along with one another and that will never change.

If you take a quick look at most Western countries financials the top 40% subsidise the living of the rest 60%. A minority of the population working harder and creating wealth is the only reason you have access to the services and quality of life that you take for granted and endlessly complain about.

This unfair arrangement won't last forever. True automation is coming. You will eventually get your socialist enclaves from hell.

Yet the top 5% hold over 75% of the wealth globally. It's not going to be easy to do, but there needs to be a rebalancing somewhere down the line. The whole market falls over anyway when fewer people can afford the services.

So he should simply have stopped working and stopped being successful? I don't understand. Who exactly does it hurt that he has that money? I woke up the day after he had reached a trillion dollars and lo and behold, my life was exactly the same as the day before. Nations around the world handle far bigger amounts. The spending budget for USA is per year 6-7 trillion usd. And you want to put all blame on injustices around the world on one man's shoulders?

In general, I find most of the hatred for wealthy people is due to a lack of understanding how money actually works in the world. Some of the hatred is due to wealthy people doing or saying bad stuff, but a lot of it is simply ignorance about money and wealth and valuations and how they all work.

Ignorance and jealousy is what most of it seems to be about, in my opinion.

Because there are those who can create currency like a counterfeiter, but legally. I am critical of the 1% for the actions they take just like the other 99%, not because of how much they have made. Criticality based on worth is misdirection, being critical of those who set up a debt based monetary system to rob EVERYONE who cannot counterfeit is of higher importance.

We've been fooled by socialists into allowing the creation of a debt based economy. This means that every dollar that comes into existence is being loaned into existence by the banks/central bank. The banks will then be collecting interest on those loaned dollars either by individuals or by the government but they never create enough dollars to pay that interest. So more debt needs to be created to pay the interest which creates more interest that needs more debt to pay. It's circular, it mathematically cannot last forever, and all of society is thrown into that crisis with bankruptcies and defaults built into the system. Someone will always get the short end of the stick.
