Hoping Brie Larson gets it. She was incredible in 'Room'

Game of Thrones should get nothing. Dud season. Ugh.

From what I hear, Blanchett probably has her award(s) on lock for this year's awards season. I'll be curious to see how Leo does.

It speaks to how enjoyable Dinklage is to watch in GOT that, despite his terrible accent, he consistently gets nominated for best supporting actor awards.

That The Big Bang Theory has a nomination for Best Comedy Series Ensemble and Brooklyn Nine-Nine is absent is a travesty.

People on TV and film watch bad TV.

Hi, I'm nortonff. I spend my life going into threads to say that I don't care about the topic of the thread. It's a really good use of my time.
Rami Malek deserves Best Actor.

Whenever a game uses "middleware," I expect mediocrity. Just see how poor TLOU looks.
Actor of our generation Chris Evans deserved a nom for his amazing portrayal of Cap and his successful debut as a director. Snubbed again

This is bizarrely different from what many, including myself, were expecting. Trumbo? Over Carol?! That's just plain ridiculous.

Something tells me Spotlight will be the only film of this list that goes on to be nominated for Best Picture.

Lol at these categories.

Nominate movie for outstanding ensemble performance, nominate nobody for individual awards. Whatever, Hollywood, whatever.

Seems to me there's no chance Spotlight won't win ensemble, that the Fass has it on lockdown this year, Queen Cate picking up a second Oscar...and I dunno. The supporting categories are more of a crapshoot.

And well Mad Max will obviously get the stunt ensemble award.

I think it makes sense? I think Spotlight's ensemble works better than Steve Jobs', but Fassbender's performance is better than any single one in Spotlight, for instance.

I don't know what the fuck Trumbo is doing up there though. Cranston was fine if overacting, everyone else was on autopilot.

No longer boycotting the Wolfenstein franchise
LOL, nominating Homeland's ensemble and Clare Danes while ignoring the casts of Fargo, The Americans, The Knick, The Leftovers, Penny Dreadful, The Affair, etc. Give me a fucking break.

These nominations are indicative of a year where a lot of films didn't release screeners before the SAG voting deadline. The Revenant is the only movie that got released after October to get a nomination. Creed's buzz/campaign didn't really kick off until right before Thanksgiving, for example.

This has happened kind of across the board this year which tells me the Oscar nominations this year are going to look very different from any of these precursor awards. The Golden Globe noms tomorrow should be interesting, since you can expect films like The Martian and Spotlight to make stronger showings.

I'm just ecstatic that someone with critical influence is watching Mr. Robot. I would have nominated the cast for best ensemble because they were all knockouts.

Looks like DiCaprio has no competition this year, I suspect he'll get his Oscar this time.
And what's up with Sarah Silverman lol? This year's Aniston?

Note to self: MUST watch Brooklyn and Room, Brooklyn in particular looks so beautiful.
