Haters be gone! Make your own hate thread. Please don't turn this into an argument about whether there should be spanish tv in the US either.

So...post your favorite skits and characters. My favorite was always when they went to class.

[english version and super hot babe below]

Profesor Jirafales: Hoy vamos a dibujar solamente usando formas basicas.

*Los niños entregan los dibujos

Jirafales:
Vamos a ver el primer dibujo:

66tw5md.jpg

4trpksx.jpg

Chavo Del 8: Ese lo hice yo!
Jirafales: Ya se! ¿éste es un trompo?
Chavo: No
Quico: ¿Un helado de vainilla?
Chavo: No, tampoco.
Quico: ¿Un helado de chocolate?
Chavo: No, no es helado de nada
Quico: ¿Una nieve de fresa? ¿de limón? ¿una nieve de cebolla? ¿de paella a la valenciana? ¡BUENO, me doy!
Chavo: Menso!
Jirafales: YA YA bien, vamos a ver, ¿y éste otro?

Chavo! Chilindrina a tu lugar, siéntense.
Chilindrina: Sí.
Jirafales: Vamos!
Chilindrina: Sí.
Jirafales: ¿Este de quién es?

4lgotqs.jpg

Chilindrina: También es mío profesor.
Jirafales: ¿Que representa?

Jirafales: ¿Que representa Quico?

Jirafales: ¿Me estás vacilando Chavo?
Chavo: No.

[Ingles]
A little background: El Chavo del Ocho is a homeless orphan who lives in a barrel located in a poor neighboorhood. Quico and La Chilindrina are his friends and neighbors. La Chilindrina is the smart alec of the group and Quico is the spoiled brat.

Teacher: Today's drawing exercise will consist of using only basic shapes to create a picture
*students turn in their drawings*

Teacher: Here's our first drawing:

66tw5md.jpg

Teacher: this drawing is interesting...Can someone tell me what it represents?
Quico: Yes, professor. It's a chess board for beginners. And I have other better ones!
Teacher: ...good...and this one?

4trpksx.jpg

Chavo: I made that one!
Teacher: I know! It's a top!
Chavo: No
Quico: It's vanilla ice cream?
Chavo: Nope
Quico: Chocolate ice cream?
Chavo: No...it's not not any kind of ice cream
Quico: Is it shaved ice? Vanilla? Strawberry? ONION?! I GIVE UP!
Chavo: Idiot! It's a pencil. It's just been sharpened lots of times...
Teacher: With imagination!
Chavo: No...with a pencil sharpener...
Teacher: Yeah yeah...alright, let's move on...what about this one?

52wgl5i.jpg

Chilindrina: That's mine!
Teacher: I know what that represents...it's a kid sitting with a hammer in his hands
Chilindrina: No, professor, here..let me show you... it's a type writer but it only has 1 key
Teacher: Oh...I see. And it's in profile view?
Chilindrina: Yeah!
Teacher: Good, good. You have talent! You could have a career as an aritist.
Chilindrina: Ooh!
Quico: Me too! I painted since I was 3 years old.
Chavo: You were painted out to be an idiot...and you're realizing it.
Quico: You have no sympathy for me!
Teacher: Alright, alright. Calm down everyone. Silence...sit down. Chavo and Chilindrina! To you seats!
Chilindrina: Yeah, yeah...
Teacher: LET'S GO!
Chilindrina: yeah...
Teacher: Alright...who's is this?

4lgotqs.jpg

Chilindrina: That's mine too, professor.
Teacher: What's it supposed to be?
Chilindrina: It's a letter written with that typewriter
Teacher: Alright...and this?

5x3pmo9.jpg

Quico: That's mine, professor! And I did it all by my little lonesome without any help!
Teacher: What does it represent, Quico?
Quico: It's an egg sandwich
Teacher: Good...it could also be an avocado sandwich...
Quico: No, professor, because avocados are green
Teacher: That's a real modernistic aproach isn't it? And this one?

67xnuzd.jpg

Chavo: That's mine and I also did it all by my little lonesome without any help from anyone!
Teacher: Are you pulling my leg, Chavo?
Chavo: No.
Teacher: There's nothing on this page. What's this supposed to represent?
Chavo: It's my daily breakfast.

AY QUE PADRE

El Chavo del 8 r0x. Still hilarious even after you've watched every episode a million times.

Damn I haven't seen El Chavo del Ocho in a long ass time, but the episode that sticks out in my mind was the one where they go into the Bruja's apartment and they imagine it like a haunted house of sorts. Most of the episode were hilarious.

You just gotta love Ron Damon aka Don Ramon. He had some of the most memorable characters on the show. My favorite being Super Sam.

Are the DVDs of these shows any good? I need to get me some Chespirito action. I guess I can just Tivo this stuff as well.

De acuerdo, but I always thought El Chapulín Colorado was way funnier.

I watched this show a lot when I was a kid. I remember I almost cried once, during the episode when everyone in the building was going on vacation and Chavo was going to be left behind. But he got to go anyway. :lol

Does anyone remember what happened at the end of that one?

El Señor Barriga took him to Acapulco with everyone else at the end :)

The beach special episode was actually the final one if I recall correctly.

They're horrible. I have yet to see a full season set. They just spit them out really quick and gave us some shitty, low rent "best of" compilations. There was this kickass VHS set that came out ages ago, but that's hard to find.

And yeah, Don Ramon friggin' rocked. :lol Poor guy could never catch a break. CHUSMA! CHUSMA! HUMPH!

Señor Barrigas was awesome too. Chavo would always find a way to accidentally hit his stomach (how could he help it? It's everywhere!). Fue sin querer queriendo! Se me chispotio!

Chespirito is a Genius.

I'ts great I can read ther dialogue and hear their voices as if they were saying it.

F*CK YEAH! Best show ever. I bet that 90% of latinos age 25 to 40 can recite a famous Chavo bit straight off of the top of their head!

Favorite character. Don Ramon by FAR. Ramon Valdes's (Don Ramon) passing is one of maybe 2 celebrity deaths that have really saddened me.

Anyone remember Patty?
