Lost both my father, and stepfather for a while now. I miss them so much, but I'm so happy for the years they were with me. Their spirits will guide me well for the rest of my life moving forward

My dad was an orphan, he never knew how to manage fatherhood and to be fair I was tough on him. He still managed my best childhood experiences. Smuggling candies to the drive-in on a ski-doo, pizza surprizes with friends, going to lake for canoeing, fishing and hunting when I was 6, best moment was in the middle of the night in Winter for seeing aurora borealis. Fathers are underrated. Cheers mates.

I got a message this morning from my sisters friend, which was nice. Her sperm donor(he doesn't deserve to be called a baby daddy) is a complete waste of skin so I've been helping her out where I can, lifts to hospital appointments, shopping, and such, plus keeping an eye on the little one so she can get some time for herself, although she's breastfeeding so there's only so much I can do.

Going out to eat with my parents and brother tonight. Nice place too, not the typical "Let's just go to Outback" from my dad, so I'm glad. My only qualms with the place are that it's a small joint, stuffed in a building by a train station with crap parking and with terrible acoustics. We know for a fact we can't hear shit from our last visit because of the other patrons who are close and many, and Father's Day will be no better I'm sure. Oh well, at least we're getting good food (provided they don't have a limited Father's Day menu).

Happy Father's Day gentlemen and especially to my oldest son, who will never see this.

My wife and I raise our grandchildren since they have both were born as our daughter went the other way in life with things.

He decided to move back right down the street, so he could help me as I am retired, raise them. My wife's job is on the road a lot and usually a 12-16 hour days with the Post Office and the job she does.

Son, you are a father, a giant that mere men stand on your shoulders, doing a job and sacrificing your time and effort for two beautiful children that had no choice in life and just wanted to be loved.

Happy Father's Day, son.
