IA/VT Colorful New Trailer

https://youtu.be/Y-9lT-GvKQw
IA/VT features original music videos that you’ll see in the background of the rhythm game. There are three modes of Free Play mode for playing the songs of your choice, a Step Up mode for higher challenges, and Daily Play mode for unlocking new songs.

As for the tracks, they will feature songs from IA’s various albums of IA, IA/01 –Birth-, IA/02 –Color- and IA/03 –Vision-. There are also a bunch of costumes to dress up IA with throughout the game.

Xseed please.

Please.

This NEEDS to come to the West. Somehow, someway.

XSEED pls.

SERIOUSLY, XSEED, PLEASE.

...Wait...

(It is really odd, actually -- between this and PopoloCrois Bokujou Monogatari, this is the first time since working at XSEED that I've had two games from our parent company preordered at once, and ranked both among my most anticipated titles of the year. This is an AWESOME time to be associated with Marvelous!)

I've had the limited edition on pre-order and fully paid for since the middle of last year, here's hoping the extra year they've had to work on it has paid off.

Senpai noticed me!

You are the hero we need, if not the hero we deserve.

What's the deal with vocaloid rhythm games and awful button patterns? Is it too hard to make them straight vertical or horizontal lines like in bemani or dj max? It adds a layer of complexity for the sake of annoyance, it doesn't add to the music experience at all.

I like 'em, personally. I actually think it DOES add to the experience -- it adds a certain visual flair that, when synched well with the music, can sort of help you "visualize" the song as you play. Some of the best Project Diva tracks IMHO are the ones where you have notes forming star or circle patterns on the screen, or "walking" along the edges, because it almost feels like you're not just playing a rhythm game, but a puzzle game as well.

It's almost gotten to a point for me, in fact, where I find games with straight vertical or horizontal lines kind of boring! The exception being Project 575, since that uses straight vertical lines, but mixes things up with the fill-in-the-blanks lyrical elements.

You mean "make 'em like everyone else"?

The visual aspect of rhythm games isn't just about the PV, and sometimes it's about the pattern's locations that could lead or break people's experience depends on how good they understand it.

How many people actually bother to look at the BG in DJMax when playing hard difficulty?

I hope you don't get the wrong idea.

but PLEASE XSEED PLEASE.
I want this on the Vita so bad...

and it's really a bad plan to release it against Persona 4 Dancing All Night in Japan...

I've had this pre-ordered since last year. Don't know what they're thinking though, releasing it on the SAME DAY as Persona Dancing All Night.

June is wallet-rape month for rhythm game fans:

Rhythm Heaven: The Best++ on June 11
IA/VT Colorful on June 25
Persona Dancing All Night on June 25

My wallet is rekt.

No Luminous Arc Infinity? :(

Seriously, Marvelous is killing it this year. Takaki's stuff, revisiting old IP's... Who would have thought they'd revive a Sony IP like Popolocrois? They could be my favorite publisher of 2015.

Looks like the delay/reboot was well worth it, though i liked the original button symbols.

Inner Arts sounds weird though, maybe its just the trailer?

Yeah, the lyrics sound kinda flat. Maybe they used the regular IA voicebank instead of IA ROCKS? I hope that is not the version that makes it into the game (especially since the earlier trailers seemed to have the regular version of the song).

The earlier trailers were more striking to me I think but still excited.

Going to face a lot of competition for my attention with P4D release same day.

I remember pre-ordering this last year and ended up cancelling it cause I didn't know when it'd actually be released. Looking forward to this being localized by XSEED ;).

Gameplay reminds me of Gitaroo Man, which I very much enjoyed.
