Also let me say level now while its easy. What I mean by that is every monster levels with the same metal jewels and when you run the dungeon you can get the pad equivalent of kings and super kings with fairly good drop rates.
Don't want them getting ideas from gungho about making specific colored jewels for each color monster.

Like PAD basically, the metal parade, you can grab a key from the capital every other day or so.
Sadly metal gods are hard to come by and dont do much for +40 units.
They seem to be smarter than Gungho about this stuff though, so if that did happen I would hope we could choose an elemental dungeon after unlocking the metal parade.
yes, i have a total of 26 energy right now, so what I do for my metal parades is to beat it once and level up, then beat it again, wait 40 minutes, beat it again, then stay in the metal parade menu til i get 15 energy, then go at it again.
so 4 clear with 26 energy.
I should note and clarify to those starting and hoarding keys, keys don't go past 5 (or so i hear) so if you reach 5, just use one and try to use the techniques i've listed to get the most runs possible.

Leveled him to 55 without thinking about skilling him up, its guna cost me a fourtune now ;.;
Seems that a 2/3 star fodder gives a lot more xp than a 1 star, the 4 star bat mimics give 4.5k to a dark monster also, assuming you can farm them easily, I'm wondering if using bat mimics to feed up Medusa's would be a viable option.

Started playing this a few days ago, it's a fun PAD alternative. As much as I like the puzzling in PAD, it's nice to be able to play this game without staring at a board looking for an optimal move each round. Also, not having to go through reroll hell is a nice plus. There doesn't seem to be a huge emphasis on must-haves yet, though I feel like I got a bit lucky pulling Will/Alice/Elimo, less so on firedrake.

haha its actually a fairly ez game so its not as time consuming (and the higher levels scale with energy so you might get more energy total, but you also use more)
read the entire 1st and 2nd page of this thread for helpful tips/hints (i'll be adding my observations whenever i can)
oh btw, i'm running a mono-fire team (or trying to cuz i lack a fire healer), and drake is part of it as a good tank/good aoe bb, if you can spare him on your team. he also has a 5 star evolution already planned for in the future so he's somewhat future proof also.
edit: also, if you're starting anew, you can't really go wrong with any of the leaders. however, i believe mono-water teams are pretty strong initially since its nemesis lightning generally doesn't have many aoe bb's to decimate a water team
So wait, you should have farmed low level fodder from the starting zone while he was low level in his final form to potentially get your BB level up? Is that right?
i had this error on my galaxy s3 when i first downloaded it in early jan. thought f it, and one month later, opened the app again after updating and it worked. i honestly dunno what the issue was tho

I don't know a way to ask this question without advertising that I'm a major loser so I'm just gonna ask it straight.
Assuming that I spent over $1,000 in Puzzle & Dragons, and assuming I do not want to get addicted to a game where the potential for spending that much money is high, is it safe to play this game, or should I avoid it?

At this point in the games life I don't see any need to be IAP.

Interesting. I'm on a GS4 myself. I'll give it some time and see if I can get in. Did some searching for the error and it seems to just be a random network issue. Game looks pretty cool, hope to play it soon.
you can be f2p, but lots of the cool characters are only obtainable by gems, and gems are reaaaaaaally hard to come by. and i find brave frontier less addicting so far since its easy enough to get through the game with the free characters, not to mention they have events where you can 'farm' some cool characters. playing both, i find both games equally addicting, brave frontier just takes less thinking (easier to play when ur preoccupied somewhere else)

Hmm yeah I do like the product, but what is the point of rare monsters and super powerful monsters if the whole game can be beaten by regulars?
In P&D, good luck beating most descends with regulars. You eventually can, if you beat like Hera-IS and such and build those types of teams. But it takes a very long time lol.
I like this though! Like the final fantasy looking battles and the P&D style everything else. So yeah, I hate you OP lol

Yeah, that would be helpful. Generally I find my friends list at least to not have many white/light leaders, but the Wyvern also just looks awesome.

Nice to see a thread for this game, been playing for a few weeks now.
Fun little game to pass time during breaks and while just lounging on the couch, so far I have a God Blade Mifune, Shadow Oboro, and three Sky Falmas lol.
I was loving it when the servers would go down constantly due to the amounts of users logging in for Metal dungeon days but it's better now since they implemented the Key system. I do miss the multiple gems a day they gave out for compensation.
Anyway, I really don't know where to go with my team yet, mostly 60/40 lightning and dark right now since I'm still leveling up my Mega and Sergio.
Personally I didn't like it at first because the art didn't stack up to P&D, but the new releases are much better and the upcoming Japanese units look legit. Also interested in how they well the Raid system will work out.

yeah the tree is a good healer, when raids come in, we should get a gaf group going for them. i'll post a pic of my team when i get, its pretty much mono red with a light healer.
another tip is to burn ur arena chances every chance you get since you get three and 1 every hour. not to mention they regenerate when you level.
i consider the arena a grind since u can skip til u find an ez team and beat on ez teams. just a slow climb up the rankings for good rewards.

Has anyone managed to snag an Eze from the current event? I've managed a few Zelns but no luck with Eze.

I haven't really been trying. Are the drop rates for Lv. 1 horrendous or is it possible to get a Zeln with a little patience? I think Lv. 2 is too much for my team right now.

Yea pretty much, it costs a lot less to do it this way.
Nope I spend pretty heavily on PAD and haven't bought one gem in BF, TBH I really don't see the need because you don't need certain monsters to make progress in BF, at least so far.
Anyone who hasn't should go to Social Gifts and put 3 items they want in the Desired Gift box, you will need the pink drop item later on to make Revive potions for example and its the only way to get them as far as I know.

I realyl do like this game! lol. It is basically exactly like puzzle and dragons in everything besides the Town stuff and the combat system.
The music is so much better in this one then P&D. It always annoyed me to see how much money GungHo is making on P&D yet they never add any new music or enhance the music or anything. Hell they have SE in on an Arcade version and 3DS version, get them to create a new soundtrack for your main money making product, not like you can't afford it.
The battles are also pretty hectic and intense. I'm not too far along yet but already running into some dungeons that require some preperation.

Just played yesterday the games so much fun, i pull an anima alice 3 star, anima memetes 3 star and an elulu four star, so far im lvling alice to four star cuz shes my leader now but its so hard to grind exp for fuse, anyone can give me a metal god for refer a friend or in the metal god banner, thanks in advance ^.^

How do you change your Comment? Mine says Hello! and when I go to "Edit Comment" to type in NeoGAF I dont get the option to confirm, or save, or anything.
Can you even change the Comment once you start playing?
edit: Figured out how. Some keyboards work, some don't. I was using Google keyboard and hitting Enter didn't do anything but add a line to the text. Switching to the HTC One keyboard, hitting Enter saved what I had typed.

If you go to the vortex at the bottom there is a Metal God dungeon that has chains around it. Basically it gives you the option to unlock the dungeon for an hour at your convenience. Best way to level your guys.
i posted a method on how to maximize your metal parade key run using some mechanics. its either posted on this page or the previous page, go look for it. it'll double the amount of times you can run the parade
edit: also great idea, i also put neogaf in the comments and suggest highly others do too. when i cull my friend list every now and then, it'll minimize the culling of neogaf members
