Hilarious episode because of a lot of the minor things like Eijun getting up to the plate
and being all tense hitting him and the way they animated everyone walking up to get on Eijun like that, lol
. Additionally the classroom scenes for everyone and their jokes. Excellent expansion of that part from the manga. (on v9, chp 69).

Oh that line about "Four seam, is he some American rapper?" was too funny.

ok. Well, at least the core staff is the same so I guess it could be similar to season 1. Budget might be a problem if its a new studio but we will see.


I still wonder why it took this long to get season 2(it is season2, right?). As far as I remember season 1 sold quite well, and they have plenty of contents with original light novel.

Well, I guess I should get around to watching Durarara now if S2 is on the way so I'm caught up by the time it airs. Looks like it's all on Crunchyroll too so that's easy.

Aniplex uploaded an announcement teaser for the new series but, you know, region locking. There's absolutely nothing new in the video, from art to music, but if you want to feel extra hype, here you go.

I would guess they were just waiting for the right time for maximum publicity. This year is the 10th anniversary of the LN series, and the novel is starting a major new arc and undergoing a title change.

edit: staff is the same as before: Takahiro Omori directing, Noboru Takagi on series comp, Takahiro Kishida on character design, Makoto Yoshimori on music. The listed studio is not Brain's Base, but 朱夏 (Shuka), some studio that apparently no one's ever heard of until now.

Huh. I'm genuinely excited for this. It's been a while but I rewatched the majority of the show somewhat recently with a buddy. We never did finish it though.

Feels to me Nagisa's parents are overreacting about hiding the past and whatnot. I expected something bigger like she was adopted lol

I'm probably gonna finish Clannad within next couple of hours and start After Story tomorrow.

Now I feel bad. I am gonna start on your anime, Tatami Galaxy, tonight. Since you have moved through Clannad so fast I feel I have to catch up with you. Haha.

Honestly, it's probably the best way of watching Clannad. Prevents you from getting totally bogged down when it gets boring.

Also, I looooove The Tatami Galaxy. Curious what you'll think of it.

shit just got real, Nagisa discovered the horrible truth that she destroyed her parents dreams and hopes lol I still wonder if any of this has any ties to the robot story or if any of this will even be explained in the next 3 episode or if it will be left till After Story

Kuroko's like a battle manga/anime, but played on the basketball court, rather than a straight sports show. So it can get pretty epic. Plus it has great characters. The Generation of Miracles is so hype.

I highly recommend One Outs btw. Thats one's about baseball and is intense like Kuroko. Also the main character is totally awesome.

Seeing other people talk about Gintama and they were mentioning this story arc or that story arc and I wasn't exactly sure how they arrived at certain names or knew which episodes specifically and such but the show specifically tells you "Benizakura Story Arc Begins Next Episode",haha.

I guess this is the first of the bigger more serious story arcs in Gintama. The music gets much more serious and ominous sounding during previews and such. Like most of Gintama before this I enjoyed it. Even though in general it's more serious, the show still manages to do a pretty good job with its balancing act of switching between the serious and lighthearted tones. The fight at the story arcs conclusion had some nice animation as well, with Gintoki doing some flips and dodges, which made it even more exciting to watch. Overall it had pretty much the whole package with some nice surprises along the way. Regarding Gintoki and his fight though
either he didn't get stabbed as bad as the show kind of lets on or he recovered too quickly for the second go around. I know the show only has so much time to do things but as a minor complaint his healing seemed really quick and made the attack seem more trivial where it initially seemed pretty serious.

I'd also like to know more about Takasugi and his past that was presented here. Otherwise his motivations feel a bit more on the petty or thin side. Basically just someone who generally hates the world and wants to burn it down.

Entertaining overall and I like how the show tells you to go back to thinking less seriously for the next episode because the serious arc is over and it's more or less back to "the usual" Gintama,haha.

Gintama does the switch from comedy to serous back to comedy better than any anime IMO. I love how the serious arcs can be pretty violent. Also, the arcs get better after Benizakura.

Also, as for your complaint about Gintoki getting back up quickly...better get used to that :x He usually ends up being very injured in a lot of arcs but can get up in a short time. That said, he's the main character, so he has to get up, but you start to notice it once you watch more arcs. It's one of the few complaints I really have about the series.

Also, Takasugi gets a little more exposure with more arcs, but even up to the point the anime ended, his motivations are still rather sparse. It feels like there's a ton of set up for something big, but neither the show (nor the manga probably) have gotten to that point yet.

Gintama has a bunch of cool villains though, many of which are frequently introduced in new arcs, so eh.

Third, the sub is damn great , i actually find the sub superior , not that the dub is bad ... it's an ok dub ( and i usually don't like them ).. okabe , kurisu , mr braun , moeka are quite superior on the japanese dub.

I think some pronouns are off in this paragraph so I think I'm having a bit of a hard time understanding you. Just to be clear, Ruka self-identifies as male right? So his desire to be female stems SOLELY from his attraction to Okabe and daddy issues? I thought I read more than that, which is why I was so confused as to how Ruka self-IDs and how the other characters treat him but maybe I was off base? If so why didn't the writers (of the VN of course) just make Ruka gay rather than this weird "wants to be a girl" subplot. It feels like its trying to force some sort of heteronormative narrative where one didn't need to be. Am I just overthinking this? I think I'm confusing myself :/

Make sure to watch the "extra" episode 23. Helps set up After Story nicely.

DAT SHIROE SAMA strategizing. He shouldn't be getting jealous over harems when he's forming his own. Sure it's not the biggest harem in the world, but it has the biggest quality. I mean all main cast. Also that evil smile at the end. Shiroe is the best when he's outhinking modafuckas. He's all TELL DAT BITCH TO BE COOL AT THE PARTY. TELL HER 'BITCH BE COOL AT THE PARTY'

I really do hope this gets a second season, even if a 12 episode one.

I guess this is the requisite mind fuck episode. Can someone smarter than me explain to me what I just watched? The art, colors and animation were very interesting for this episode. At the very least the show continues its strong experimental streak :)

Show has been pretty dramatic/solid these past few episodes, and this one was fantastic. Like cows to the slaughter. Also any hopes I had for
ojou-sama being likable but acting tsundere are burned away. She's just an asshole now
