The Reiji vs Sei fight in this episode was great. Really nice to see how far Sei's come, and I like that they didn't bother showing who won because that was beside the point. I love this series, man. I really hope they take the lessons they've learned in this series' writing and apply them to a new Gundam soon.

The unique visual style you are seeing won't go away, but you will get used to how fast the characters talk. I generally was overwhelmed in the first episode but gradually didn't notice it over time.

Meet Kazuya aka Not-Fujipi (left), and Kenta (right). Kazuya is pretty much better than Fujipi in every single way. He has a goal, and is quite accomplished. The other big thing is that unlike Nagisa's inability to hold an actual conversation with FujiP, Saki is actually perfectly capable of having a conversation with him. It's as if it was more admiration than say, a crush (but it's still a crush). Can you blame him? He's also a capable smooth talker, gawd damn son. The fact that he's Mai's brother is probably one of his best attributes, because it shuts off any possible way of her falling out with Mai over him (in terms of competing for love)
Kenta on the other hand, is a childhood friend, and automatically loses the love race as a result. He's like... the weaklink for me in Splash Star because he's a constant active manzai person, and I really don't like it that much. It's like... his dream is to piss me off, and it's sad, because he's not exactly a bad person, considering this episode. The early episodes sure do make Saki look more like a jerk in comparison to Nagisa, since the tea spilling happened near the halfway point, it doesn't last too long thankfully.
Really got to give props to Mai's character. She's very perceptive, especially given her hobby, and she's actively guiding people in the right direction based on that. She'd fit the qualifications of being the Heartcatch leader, that's for sure. She's just shining for this stretch.

Not having the three episodes for Code:Breaker is a sign to not buy.
Have Attack on Titan LE, and will definitely get Karneval BD/DVD LE. Hope the dub has my favorites.
It requires multiple viewings. Seriously. Watch it once to get the gist then again to fill in what you miss.

I can live with the art style. I seen worse. There were moments I chuckled cause I would catch something. It's just hard to read what they're saying and see all the imagery flying by that I miss. Good to know that it gets easier to keep up with.

you know it's coming but you tell yourself they won't do it and when it does happen they somehow make it sadder then you imagined it would be.

Don't know about the word fun but all the feels are locked and loaded.
Visual style is weird but I can deal with it. Just surprising Madhouse did art like this. Kinda crazy.

Well this Gundam is good BECAUSE it's not just another Gundam. So yeah.
I remember when they first revealed Build Fighters it looked like the stupidest premise ever to me, and fast-forward to now and it seems like one of the most universally-loved Gundam series ever.
I might have to marathon it anyway later even if 100% of the references will fly over my head, since the core plot still stands on its own.

So how do blu-ray of series/films work? Am I hoping for too much for say Jin-Roh Wolf Brigade or Vampire Hunter D to come back to the US at a decent price? Or for Fate/Zero to eventually go down in price to something affordable?
I know. When I watched there was a point where I almost dropped the show because I couldn't deal with how it made me feel. I did have to take a break though.

A bunch of factors, if there is a Blu-ray release in Japan, if someone licensed something, if they feel that it'll be worthwhile to release a Blu-Ray release.
I think Jin-Roh is unlicensed now due to Bandai stepping out of the NA market in releasing stuff and Vampire Hunter D is licensed by Urban Vision which seems all but dead too.

Seriously, I actually rewatched Clannad After Story 16 last night and I said damn.
The way Tomoya tries to get Nagisa to speak a little more because deep down he knows something's wrong and will probably get worse and is denying that with all his might. You could freaking see himself struggling to hold it together. Just damn ;_;. It gets sadder every time I see it.
Man, I hope you do another one of these challenges soon. I love the fact that more people are watching Clannad. Too bad I can't take you up on it though. I have like, three shows I'd like to see your impressions of.

I've read the Clannad VN. It has its moments, though the ending is bad enough to almost retroactively ruin everything. Fortunately it's easy enough to ignore it in the VN format.
