I wonder how much Cliffy has made from this transaction. That said, this is an unfortunate sale for the future of the technology.

Wow. What does this mean for gaming?

Reading Zuckerberg's statement, it sounds like "We'll do games and then a bunch of other shit like putting you courtside at sports events." That sounds pretty cool but I'd rather see a 100% focus on gaming.

Wonder what this means for Valve's VR.

Hang on... Where did this come from? I guess Oculus will keep doing their stuff, but I always thought that they wanted to be the ones in charge.

Wow. Megaton. Could be bad if it takes the focus on making a good gaming experience, could be good because it likely means we will actually see an affordable Rift in the future.

Not a huge fan of facebook but at least they're platform agnostic. They also didn't really fuck with Instragram all that much but this is an entirely different beast.

Not sure what to think about this. One thing Oculus will easily have the money it needs for marketing etc.
Though hope doesn't lose it's indie friendliness and force developers to integrate Facebook into games...

Wow, the OR guys just became rich as fuck. Congratulations to them.

As for Facebook buying them, not sure what to think about that just yet.

Man, I have to give credit to Mark Z, he saw it coming.

Social media + Occulus rift = early Menagerie

Bravo Mark!
