Very much looking forward to this years E3 and am curious to know what others are hoping to see. What do you think might happen to blow us all away? Will it be a particular game? A hardware product? A service? Are you expecting just a very solid E3 showing from anyone in particular that just leaves you speechless at the end?

Honestly...nothing. I haven't felt particularly blown away by anything revealed at E3 in the past few years. I know that my gaming tastes are narrow at times but aside from some nifty lighting effects I haven't been seeing any games or system features that have really drawn out an "oh shit, that's awesome" kind of reaction.

It'd be a waste at this point and I think Nintendo knows it. Better to make it a launch title for a successor. Their big thing will be Zelda, which we already know exists but haven't seen. They'll show some other stuff, including surprises, but a big Metroid won't be among them.

It's hard to say what MS and Sony have in store, but from Sony a big "Wow" moment would be if they reveal a release date of this year for the VR headset. Highly doubtful, so it'd definitely be shocking. From MS I'm expecting Halo 4 will be shown and probably be awesome, perhaps a new Gears, but can't really anticipate any big surprise moment.
