The PS4 version of Akiba's Strip 2 appeared on the softmap online store.
The release date is July 3rd 2014.

New features:
- Better graphics, shorter loading times, more NPCs on the streets
- Visual Editor - changing the visuals of the city, like the time of day etc. Can't say much without more information.
- "Almost" all free and paid DLC included in the package.
- Flying panties after doing the panty jump attack, whatever that is - I've never played AS2 before.

Those games are being made for Japan, and PS3 games are still selling quite well there. Ground Zeroes PS4 is the best selling version of MGSV outside of Japan while the PS3 version is the best selling in Japa.

They should have added more story content, since the game was pretty barebones compared to the psp updated re-release of the original. Unless they updated the models for the PS4 its going to look "hilarious".
As long as I get to spend more time with Nana in HD Ill pick this up anyways. Though seriously first want to see if they will add new scenarios / events.

Releasing a game for a console that 80m+ people own is suicide while releasing it for a brand new console that hasn't even been around for a year is a financially good move? Sure, that makes sense.

Having both games be cross-gen would be a good move, but the PS3 versions aren't suicide in the slightest.

Install base is hardly relevant to something Tales or Persona. It's not even in the conversation for a game like AT2. This game would never sell the kind of numbers where that would be a concern.

Now I really hope this comes stateside. I have a feeling if XSEED could managed to get the PS4 version out together (although unlikely) w/ PS3/Vita, it could probably do decent (since PS4 is new, people want more games, etc.).

I am tempted to cancel my PS3 preorder and wait now. Would love more niche games on PS4.

Yeah, I really want the game but the PS4 version is coming out in Japan at roughly the same time as the PS3/Vita versions here. Hopefully they can work something out, I'd much rather play it in 1080p on PS4.

And I would say that we would most likely get that specific version of the game a few months after the Japan release. Since they would have to go through the whole process again as they did with the PS3 and PSV versions of the game (programming and the SCEA approval process).

Ugghh, don't remind me, both of them should get PS4 releases, but alas, they will nto for some reason. I'd love to see how the Tales artwork looks in full native 1080p on PS4..

The only thing interesting about this up port is that they use the share feature of the ps4. People watching can appear in your game (says as a main character, which is confusing as it looks like an npc in the screenshot), use chat commands like "help" to send your npc allies over, "panties jump" to make panties on the floor jump.

If that's all they got, gonna give this a pass. Notice how this version is not called "plus" like when acquire usually upgrades their games.
