The only thing I don't like about this is that it makes the idea of Halo 2 Anniversary not having actual Halo 2 multiplayer in it more likely. They might just recreate a few Halo 2 maps using the Halo 4 engine, like they did with Halo 1 Anniversary and Reach. :-(

This is great news. Hopefully this will wake people up and make then realize how stupid it is to criticize one company for releasing an HD port (TLOU) since there are plenty of people who haven't played and are willing to play these games on new systems.

These types of ports and compilations are healthy ways to leverage a catalog. More publishers should do it.

Will buy.

Fix the FOV while your at it.

Pity they couldn't just do ODST and Reach. They are still connected.

This means I can sell off my 360 and Halo 1-4, only reason I kept it was because if I felt like re-playing the campaigns.

The XB1 is my first Xbox and I haven't played Halo outside a couple of hours of multiplayer with friends, so this would be a big draw to me.

Which ones will have online multiplayer? 2 and/or 3 need it or no buy.

probably a combined MP with maps from both, brilliant...

How multiplayer factors into this equation will have a lot to do with whether I ultimately give a shit or not.

If H2A rumors are correct and "if" the MP is left largely unmolested, I'll be given no choice but to buy this...

If they go that route, I'm 100% out. Wouldn't inspire much confidence regarding H5, either.

Oh dear god please be on PC.

EDIT: @manbearpig - I totally didn't read your 'dear god' post before saying what I did. Just like-minded!

Assuming this is true (there seems to be some debate, I guess?) I think I like this idea. I only got past the Library in Halo 1 and never played 2, so 3 (and 4 to some extent) made no sense to me. That said: I want ODST (never played that either) and I'm wary of buying this because I didn't love 3 or 4, and the Library... I mean, halfway through the Library Bungie literally makes fun of the fact that it's so repetitive. I don't think I can face that horror again.

Speculation: This is called "The Master Chief Collection", and the Halo 5 Box Art has a new mysterious(?) character in the correct vertical placement with the chief underneath, upsidedown.

Can we deduce that there will be a new main lead for Halo 5? That the Chiefs legacy is over???

I would buy this for sure. 1st time, that all main Halo games are on one console, which is great.

I never had any doubt, that ntkrnl was wrong. Still think it was a controlled leak, though.
