I love how newly-announced characters get their own special Challenger Approaching banners on the site now. They look soooo gooood. Also, I'm really surprised we got another character announcement this close to E3. It makes me wonder what all E3 will have in store for us...
a full roster blowout? I personally hope not, but maybe...
I dunno about fun, but he wasn't unique. Sakurai pretty much turned him into a Roy expy (Fun fact: Ike's affinity was Earth, not Fire) and his portrayal in smash is awful. Put simply, Ike was a master swordsman in FE, and none of that was conveyed in his Brawl moveset. FE Ike swings his sword with unmatched swiftness and precision. Brawl Ike swings his sword like it's a fucking log.
Incidentally, Ike wasn't a particular deep character in FE10, but there was a stoic maturity to him. Like, the idiot running saying "I fight for my friends?" wasn't the same guy who said this:

Doubt Lucina is an alt. As a lot of people have pointed out, so far alts have only been variations of the same character. Female villager is still villager. Male WFt is still WFT. Wireframe Mac is still Mac.

I know I've been beaten to the punch on how amazing manly Ike's look is, but I also think that he bears an uncanny resemblance to that fake Chrom leak from a few months back.
Also, as great as it is to have him return, having both Fire Emblem veterans revealed before either of the Mother veterans does sting a bit.
