I'm curious what happened prior to the recording. We know he started his car and that somehow scared the woman's kid. I wonder if she immediately went off the handle and he was just like "Hold on, i want to videotape this" or if she had exchanged words with the guy prior to losing her mind. Either way her actions are reprehensible.

Also: reading through the thread is scary. It demonstrates how much people hold on to a belief before looking taking a minute to look at the perspectives of others. Seriously people, before you dig your heels to defend some stance about how angry the woman is, or how people say words without really meaning them, just stop. I've been dangerously close to that line before, and when you actually say to yourself "stop and think," you open yourself up to what's really going on. Zero tolerance for anything, ANYTHING that attacks a person based on the color of their skin (or size, appearance, gender, ethnicity, nationality or sexual orientation) is the only way to ensure that it dies. Give it an inch and it will keep trying to take a mile. Just don't do it.

Sensitivity does run high, no doubt. And this whole idea of not jumping to conclusions and trying to remain impartial might seem fair. But, I can understand a defence of somebody who, in a heated moment, maybe called the bloke a nigger once then caught herself on. Her anger wouldn't entirely excuse the language used, but at least she could mount a defence. But there's surely got to be a line, and if there is, she most definitely crossed it.
On viewing that video I don't for a moment believe she was just heated. I feel confident in saying she's a crazy racist. Don't think this particular case calls for diplomacy.

- nothing would have happened if the guy didn't try to hit her kid (?)

She's a wreck. I try not to take pleasure in anyone's misery, no matter how much they bring it upon themselves. Just a sad, miserable situation - she fucked up big time and she knows it will stick with her for a very long time.
I guess it's just words associated with bipolar disorder/treatment.
