Disney, buying marvel, inherited all their headaches. And if the mickey mouse copyright issue taught anyone anything, is that DISNEY is a fucking juggernaut when it comes to copyright law and THEY ARE FUCKING PISSED THE FUCK OFF that FOX won't give them the rights back.

how pissed is DISNEY? they are willing to stop licensing of all XMEN and FANTASTIC 4 merchandise to starve the series. That means no toys. no licensing clothing. and yes THAT EVEN MEANS NO XMEN LEGO/CAPCOM games.

so yeah. don't expect an update or even an xmen game period for a loooooooooooooong time.

Capcom doesn't even get the exclusive rights to Marvel properties yet they get shutdown because of other parties. Wow what a messed up situation.

Trying to find a character that plays similar to Fish/Rikuo/Aulbath in USF4 is tricky business. He's the only character in a fighting game that I enjoy using, and no, it's not because of bubble. :p

Just an FYI: game rights and movie rights are completely different.

The only thing that affects games is the merchandising stuff, which seems to be a half truth at the moment, and more unfortunate than anything else.

Art/Valle were on when I was mainly watching. The stream was super super long so they were rotating a lot of people in/out over the course of the day.

If we finally get MH4 in the west then it's time for me to get a 3DS. Between that, Smash and

I actually think that's the odd bet in this situation.

There won't be a new SF announcement. It would cannibalize USFIV sales.

That leaves...what? Darkstalkers is dead, and the only other valuable fighting game IP they have is Marvel, which isn't happening. The true longshot here would be a Capcom All-Stars, but that is just a dream within a dream.

Edit: Yeah, we'll probably get USFIV PS4, but that's not "new".

I'm pretty sure we're allowed to natter about FG related E3 announcments in here. I'll probably do that (if there is any) mostly because I want to avoid the "ANOTHER VERSION OF SF SRSLY LOLOLOLOL" crowd.

EDIT: We've heard nothing about a potential Capcom fighter outside of USFIV PS4, so I'm not betting anything. Capcom All-Stars would be nice but TBH they could do a VS game with more than just Marvel.

In with all of this. The thing is, I wouldn't bother with them because of the problem with using old generation fightsticks. It's seriously a huge problem for Xbox One users. Not paying £180 for a stick, sorry.
Oh and Pokken Fighters hype.

E3 on GAF is a lot like stream chat to me. Pages and pages of "WOW!" and "NO WAY!" It's impossible to have any kind of conversation, so I don't see the point of posting. I will still sometimes post in my regular OTs and FGW, since this place will still move reasonably slow still.

About 24 hours after a thread opens up, it becomes worthwhile to post in. All of the reveal reactors have left, so you can have a decent conversation.

Hm... just realized with the Wii U's GC port attachment, I could still use my PS2 arcade stick with the PS2->GC converter.
I don't know how the delay would be, but I guess it's still possible.

I think we all know that people are going to buy another stick for USF4 once it eventually hits PS4/Bone. They say "no" now, but then they just wait for another promo code and the money magically leaves their wallets. It makes me wonder how many people were asking about stick compatibility between PS2 and PS3.

the thing is those guys don't realize the potential blow up it would have if they get caught saying it on stream. I thought people would learn but I guess it would take another Call Kotaku for people to stop saying it .

Unless PS4/XBO becomes the standard for USFIV tournaments I don't know why people would buy a PS4/XBO. This isn't like KI where it's only available on that platform.

I'm gonna be streaming some USF4 for a little while, if anyone's interested. This is my first time streaming ever, actually, I'm kind of excited! My roommate and I are kinda in between scrubs and regular competent players skill level wise, but we play some pretty interesting and uncommon characters! For example, I main Dan.

Anyway it'd be awesome if anyone checked us out and let us know what they think.

I think the argument for PS4/X1 versions is that when/if either PS4 or X1 become standard transitioning into next gen, it will be easier for TOs to run USFIV alongside the new games coming out. I think that's a good argument. PS4/X1 versions would also make a bit more sense why the retail version is coming so much later.

Still think people's prayers are carrying them on this though.
