I don't know about advanced but I just found out that the theater in my town Castro Valley will be showing it the night before on the 31st at around 7:30 PM.

Probably just a joke. And he's not really dim, at least inwardly. In the comics, it's explained that "I Am Groot" is actually him saying something more complex.

From Marvel Wikia:

The mature form of Groot's species is robust and heavyweight, which causes the organs of acoustic generation to become stiff and inflexible. It is this hardened nature of Groot's larynx that causes people, who are oblivious to the subtle nuances of his speech, to misinterpret him as merely repeating his name. It has yet to be determined whether Maximus' claim is true or merely another manifestation of his madness, though Groot did genuinely seem to be assisting Maximus with highly-advanced engineering.

I wonder if they'll reveal Groot to be (comic spoiler, maybe?)
His Divine Majesty King Groot the 23rd, Monarch of Planet X, custodian of the branch worlds, ruler of all the shades, flora colossus.

I saw the Disneyland GotG preview twice this weekend. I am sufficiently hyped for this movie. Might even see it in 3D if the transfer is near the quality of the Disneyland preview.

It warmed my bitter, jaded heart to see healthy crowds at the preview and seeing kids get their pictures in front of the Rocket and Groot poster. Even neater to see a stuffed Rocket toy on the shelf.

Why is he eating his own disgusting growth if he's actually secretly super intelligent?

so I just found out there are no more movie theatres in my shitty little town, the one we had in the mall (which had like 8 rooms or whatever they are called) closed for lack of business recently

guess im waiting for the bluray >_>

Good to see Drax has some funny dry comedy stuff going on. Anybody else got Cherry Bomb stuck in their head? 2 weeks straight for me now. And I love it.

it didn't work

Bendis was really good with alias, his avengers runs, people seem to like all new xmen, but he is not the one to work with the GoTG chars , DnA and Giffen , their style has such a strong grip on them.

Yeah me too. I'll probaly see it twice, but since I'll be busy the night of the 1st, this would be the best choice for me to see it earlier. The dude at Crush Comics next door told me when I was buying a Guardians Mystery Mini.

I'd never heard the song before the trailers so I only get part of it sick in my head... and then it somehow melds into Rebel Girl, a song I'd never heard before Rock Band.

Edit: "That girl thinks she's the queen of the neighborhood... Cherry Bomb!" Yeah my mind works in weird ways.

Good news, Cherry Bomb (well, a good cover of it) is available for Rock Band as well.
