But this night's discussion was completely worthless from the start (Lucina was obviously NOT an alt, which was pretty clear for everyone but Beelzebub) AND resolved by Sakurai in less than 24 hours. And it went on from ~page 390 (50ppp) of OT9 until now. Did any other discussion waste this many posts in such a short time?

The very notion that Ridley might be a "playable boss" instead of a character makes me a bit sick to my stomach. :-/

Dark Pit would be the worst clone of all time. His model is exactly the same as Pit. Visually speaking, he's a pallet swap. In can understand making Lucina a Marth clone, but making Dark Pit a Pit clone would be completely pointless. Especially with all that Uprising has to offer in terms of a unique moveset.

It isn't, but it's still the only leak I saw that actually questioned how accurate Germatsu's source was at picking out characters instead of just having a THE SAL LEAK IS TRUE BTW footnote like every other post E3-leak had.
I just can't see him doing Dark Pit when he's just so similar in frame to normal Pit. Dark Pit literally originates from a Brawl palette swap of Pit, it'd get really confusing. There's no big physical identifier between them like Lucas having hair or Lucina being a girl or Falco being a bird or Dr. Mario having a Ph.D.
Plus, considering Lucina bogarted off of Robin's reveal trailer, I think if Dark Pit was going to be a thing they'd have just come out and said it at the end of the Palutena trailer.

It can be pronounced either way. Typically in NA it's pronounced Lu-See-Na as heard in the localization of FE: Awakening.

I won't write it off, but I don't think someone saying it'll be Lucina instead of Chrom is a big prediction.
Now if he/she had said Robin was coming, that would of been a bit more telling.
I think Dark Pit's chances just skyrocketed.
I personally love clones. I'm all for any form of extra characters. I know I'm in the minority but I think clones are a great way to get extra characters in the game without taking a super long time to make a moveset from scratch. After all, without clones we'd have never gotten Falco or Doc in Melee.
Dream clone though? Proto Man.

Punch Out clones would never work because the unique animations and silhouettes are what make the game so memorable.
Which is why we need to cut all the vets yet to be revealed to fit in the rest of the Punch Out cast. Mega man too. It has to be done.

So Lucina has slightly different properties as a playable character? Interesting, I wonder which one of them will end up being better overall. His comment implies that she won't have the destructive power of the Marth's tipper forward smash, but it might make it easier for her to score KOs in general.
