JoJo Bizarre Adventures reference. From part three onwards the characters have a fighting spirit that they can summon which all have different abilities. As they are a spirit it often means they can fight at a distance away from the user much like the luma can fight a distance from Rosalina.
It's a reference to the stand beings in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Each character in that series has a satellite being that is a part of their "self" with an otherworldly ability that they use either directly or indirectly to incapacitate or kill one another.

The fire move looks like it can be charged. Look at it when Robin uses it against Sheik and then again when used on Bowser. Also look at it when it is used by female Robin at the end. There seems to be some effects missing the time it is used by Bowser.
This is the effect I'm referring to:
I'm actually pretty sure that his fire move can't be charged. In the trailer we see him charging up the Tomes and - assuming they're pulling directly from Awakening's Tomes, which you can SEE HERE - he goes from Thunder (lightning bolt) to Elthunder (bigger bolt) to Arcthunder (cross). In the trailer we see Arcfire being used/spoken multiple times and we see his red book with a cross on it (like in the picture you posted), but never any other variation.
On the same note, the only shots we have of his purple book (like THIS ONE) show a circular pattern, which matches Nosferatu, and the only shot of his green book (seen HERE) seems to match Elwind rather than Wind.
Evidence suggests that Thunder/Elthunder/Arcthunder/Thoron is chargeable (probably his Neutral B), with Arcfire (Side B), Elwind (Up B), and Nosferatu (Down B) all being static.

He really seems to hate cutting characters, Roy was planned to be in Brawl, and he's one of the Melee clones still has a bit of a fanbase in Smash for his playstyle being very similar but indeed different from Marth. At this point, Sakurai could've still wanted to bring him back, but also realized he was a bit obsolete. Lucina could be his way of making amends for that to himself and maybe even to Roy fans in a way.

I kinda wish Sakurai would release some official art of all characters who have male/ female equivalents like was done for Robin. Male WFT, default female Villager.

If the Brawl code was really pointing to Pulsie and Minun, it seems he was even trying to bring back Pichu in a way.
I'm glad the talk about cuts has died down after this last trailer a bit. Some people were just CUT CUT CUTTT!! But the the fact that Sakurai seems to do everything in his power to not cut characters, (if it wasn't for Sonic, most likely only Pichu and Doc would've been cut, and Pichu might've even been replaced by P&M), made me wonder why it was such a big topic of conversation.
The only significant cut we've gotten in the entire series was Mewtwo, and he was trying to bring him back too, along with even the the less significant characters. (Roy.) He really, really doesn't like cutting characters from what I can see.

I think the Pokemon series makes for some really great smash fighters. (Always hoped there would be a smash style pokemom exclusive fighting game).
I'm glad the talk of cuts has gone too, and it does seem evident cutting is a last resort kind of thing. This instills some hope in me for Mewtwo and to a slightly lesser extent Ivysaur and Squirtle!

That's exactly what it is. I live close-ish to London, and I went to one of the previous ones for the Nintendo stuff and it was almost painful to spend time there. If that's your jam though, sure. I considered it for a brief moment but I don't think I could bear to go again, haha.
Falcon is back and so few people seem hyped. Must've been nerfed even worse in Brawl than I remember, for people to be so unbothered....
But for me, the good Captain represents all that is silly about Smash, and I LOVE it.
So is the really the end for you and smash commentary?
If your health situation ever gets better might we expect you to return or have you decided to completely move on?

Last time I went to london was for a mortal kombat tournament at the emirates stadium, I fucking love the city and I'd go down there in a heart beat if it wasn't so expensive, even the shitty hotels sharing a room with someone are ridiculous.
I'd just have to wear ear plugs to drown out the noise though, if you like japanese culture that much then good for you, but I'd rather not have it all in my face like that.

I went Hyper Japan last year and it's not really a weeaboo fest. Sure there's some anime stuff in the corner as you'd expect but it covers all aspects of Japan. Also Nintendo's presence was pretty big (dare I say bigger than Eurogamer) so it may be worth going just for Smash.
