Took a while to get codes to register on both PS3 and PS4, but took less than 3 minutes to download.....I'm impressed.

That alas is just the installer, there's ~14GB to go I'm afraid (EU has no screen US seems to hshow concept rt, weird)

You don't need a code if you preordered from PSN, just go to the PSN store and download the beta client

There's never been anything like this on PS3 though. Dark Souls 2 Beta is nothing compared to this.

Are you redeeming a 9 digit retailer code? If it's 12 digits, it's a PSN code and should be redeemed there instead

The actual PSN download is just a shell/client that has to be launched and running in the foreground to do the real download.
(which means I can't start the real download here from work and have it ready later, so the PS4 standby feature is worthless)
