I think he's covering his ass legally for tampering with cartridge data before. At least imo. Could be that palutenas model is the exact same as the previous one featured in kid Icarus uprising.

I have, and I swear I'm not trying to be difficult or sarcastic here, but what do they prove? That he has some images of Palutena, one of which looks like a WIP from a 3D Modeling program.

Seems more likely he ripped the data off the 3ds cart and opened palutenas model data.

Would explain the dlc character leak as well.

Simplest solution, to me, still seems like something like the above. Obviously he would have had to rip the model from Kid Icarus, not Smash.

The leaker obviously loves attention and stirring the pot. It seems far more likely he's just trying to cause more trouble. An easier way to prove it fake would just be to show us all three source images (Palutena, Mario, and the Background) to prove that he combined them into one image.

I was originally on the fence about if that leak was real, but even if it was somehow faked (so accurately that it's almost exactly the same as the in-game model), I don't think MFL is the one who faked it.

The roll, lack of knockback on the Up B, and lack of the AI trying the dive kick + regained jump to get back on stage have me worried (the last one not as much, since its AI, but still).

NoA are forced to submit their work in order to get a rating and in turn get their work leaked early. It's a real shame.

If it was some random corner shop that got it early then that would be ok but I just have a sour taste in my mouth because of this employees actions.

It annoys me more than it should. I mean the ESRB isn't some small time company where Nintendo had a choice in going with another option. The ESRB should never allow a leak like this, especially given that the person had the game long enough to record video footage.

Agreed. I would've preferred the cool Shulk reveal trailer that hopefully, will still happen. It would've been explosive on SmashGAF. Like, earth shatteringly huge.

Also, leaks happen, it's something you should get used to and expect, especially 2 weeks before release. If you're so pissed off at this leak, why weren't you all pissed off with the gematsu stuff spoiling pacman and palutena etc?

I don't believe that they have to to show the ESRB everything, for this reason. They didn't show the ESRB lewd pictures of Rosalina, Peach, Zelda, Sheik, or ZSS. I think they just have to give the ESRB an idea of what is in it that could be objectable, which they accomplished via the trophies they have shown.

So I'm rewatching mirrors of the leak. Does... does it look to anyone else like they might have addressed landing lag complaints? It looks like some of the characters are acting quickly out of aerials...

Ummm it's possible. I can't really tell though, it's kinda blurry lol.

I was watching the videos and it does kinda seem so. Lucina has very quick attacks and that really stands out to me. Also hitstun seems a bit more "normalized" across the board.

The other characters that were shown already had relatively low lag from the demos already (Bowser, Kirby, Pikachu) and are relatively slow to begin with but don't have really good footage to tell otherwise (Ganondorf).

Thing is, people were originally arguing that the idea someone would put together their own 3D model for a fake was preposterous. However what you're suggesting is that someone put together a 3D model to pretend a legit leak was fake. That sounds even more ridiculous!

This is what i really hope. ALl the characters from Xenoblade in ahuge chain attack. Heropon Riki, Reyn Time, etc...
They also need to use Jenna Colemans voice for Melia.
Dont need to get the voice actors back, just get clips of the ioriginal game and call it a day.

Would love to see all those characters with good textures and models finally.
