I will admit, the combat definitely lacks weight to it. The animations and the fighitng else is gorgeous, but it seems very floaty. Even KH had that sense of weight behind each hit. They still have lots of time to fix that, though. It looks better than TW3's combat.
I don't know what people are talking about.Combat seems remarkable.
Based on what, exactly?
Just got to the fighting. Yes, definitely.
Because either Sony or Square Enix ( most likely Sony) wanted to make a big deal out of DRAGON QUEST RETURNS TO PLAYSTATION,
They willfully ignored Square Enix games for the entire conference to throw down the gauntlet of that DQ reveal. It was clearly set up that way.
May seem strange, but DQ is still the more relevant JRPG brand in Japan and DQ has been away from Playstation for a decade.
That's some of the best ARPG combat I've seen in a long time.
I think the only thing which looked bad was the rain itself. Reminds me of KZ:SF.

They apologised on the stream about the lack of info since E3 last year, and said we will be getting info continuously now and will see more in December at Jump FestaNo, this cannot be true.
It's not a mutually exclusive choice but a synergistic one -- a perfect chance to set up a DQ + FFXV announcement combo, which would have shook the scene a lot more. I'm thinking they're still a little pensive about FFXV because of the previous problems around it (e.g. Nomura leaving).
No, this cannot be true.
Is that Hajime Tabata on the mic at the end of the video?
Poor Nomura. He should be showing it off in person. Not to take away anything Tabata has brought the past year.

Best news I've heard all year. They apologised on the stream about the lack of info since E3 last year, and said we will be getting info continuously now and will see more in December at Jump Festa
He already is!I would slump into depression if I were him.
He already is!
Poor Nomura-san

That's good to hear, because it would be kind of crazy if the digital version weighed in at over 50GB.They have the ability to transfer their visual works CG models to real time environments in the game and display them in real time during cut scenes. I think that because of this, the number of pre-rendered cinematics in the game will be low.
I can't really see Sony saying no to debuting FFXV gameplay. It seems more likely that Square wanted to make these announcements on their own. Which is why they were upset when the Type-0 HD date and demo announcement were leaked.
I was just joking since the picture gives off a little bit of a sad feeling with the lone one man in a big white room with nothing it in and no one around. He probably isn't super happy about not getting to finish his project, though. He's actually probably really happy. KH is his baby and he always wanted to be focused on it.

This is for PS4???? GAWD!!!!
At 4:58, Noctis and Ignis do a dual attack similar to the X-Strike on Chrono Trigger.
