Agree with your stuff, especially the T100. Was skeptical about it as I'm coming from a DFGT and G27, but it feels very solid. Only thing I don't care for is the pedal base.

By the way - is there any way to use the Share button off the wheel? It seems to have a start/select button, but they don't do anything for me. Checked the controller settings and didn't see an option for it

I've just done the Volswagen TT in Scotland.JAW MEET FLOOR! The 1st truly WOW! moment! Shine a light just staggering beauty! The way the lighting shifted, the clouds, the overcast look, a touch of sun, the change in colur....Just unbelievable. Noticed the sheen on the bonnet begins to mucky itself the more you drive. First lap was pristine, 4th lap reflections were there but much softer.

True, but Motorstorm games had it, so I guess they decided to carry it on here. I liked playing that way in Motorstorm, but here it works far, far better than it ever did in Motorstorm. I actually love playing this game with motion controls, they work better than I ever thought they would.

It's not fake at all! It works really great, and with my TV at least there's no perceptible lag. Hands on the screen move in practically perfect sync with mine - it's almost like having an actual wheel.

I need to try this! I wonder if it will help me race better or worse

Did you try to change the difficulty? I was sucking so bad during my first few races, but then found out that the difficulty was automatically set to semi-pro...like, HELL NO I'M NOT

Here's a screenshot of the display options.

It appears to allow you to toggle individual HUD elements like minimap, objectives, revs, etc.

Yeah I know that. I've tried every combination. There is no way to remove race position and track progress % (top left and top right) without making OSD Opacity 0. And if you make OSD opacity 0, the minimap goes away, since it's part of the OSD too.

Ive had the game deny downshifts probably cause it would over rev the engine, had to slow down a bit first. Its not like GT where you can just drop 4 gears in preperation for a corner

It sounds to me like whilst it can happily cope with many players online, it can't cope with all those people sending challenges, performing Face Offs, uploading bits and bobs left right and centre.

Too many operations per second rather than simply sustaining connections, I guess.

Yeesh, these server issues seem pretty daft - how did they think this was going to go if people played the game like they intended? They've even had a practice run at this with Motorstorm RC.

Cements my decision to wait on a purchase until the dynamic weather update is out. Overall, I like what I'm hearing and seeing regarding the core gameplay, but the entire experience seems to be coming together very piecemeal. PS+ Edition only until they can definitively pin down when they're getting weather out the door and the whole experience is more finalized and stabilized.

Yes. I've been noticing it gets stuck when double downshifting from 4th to 2nd going into a slow corner. Get's stuck in 3rd.

T500RS wheel here too.

I'm finding it hard to tell what gear i'm in, and the rookie cars are quiet in cockpit view which doesn't help.

Someone else posted that insidesimracing were reporting the same thing with a T300.

Edit: would make sense if it was one of those 'automatic in manual' mode type modes which won't allow you to downshift into super high revs. I guess it's not modeling a real manual box with a clutch.

I didn't check if it supports my clutch pedal, will look at that tonight.

It is very difficult to fully test these things. You can do load tests, you can simulate what you think will happen, you can have betas and do all that and still face issues like this once it is in the wild.

And yeah severs being down makes not being able to play until Friday a bit more bearable. Nice to see positive comments about tracks, as that is always an unknown. Difficult to tell from just an overhead or videos how a track truly plays and feels.

Not as much feel as I get in Gran Turismo 6, but it's not bad. Going to play more with it tonight as I've only had a few hours.

I'm interested once I unlock the higher level cars to see if they have different feel.

Would love it if there was a BRZ, as I mainline that car in Gran Turismo

Great. They did an amazing job on that front in my opinion.

The steering is also 1:1, so whatever movement you make is perfectly replicated on screen in cockpit view.
