Alongside the new First Person mode, Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC features hundreds of additions and enhancements including 1080p resolution at 30FPS on PS4 and Xbox One

Rockstar Website

Can't be more official than their own site. I'd say it's safe to call it as they list it.

Hopefully it's locked...or at the least, consistent.

Now the big question is how stable the framerates are and if PS4 has other advantages.

60fps was always a pipe dream with these CPUs.

Why do people still expect 60fps? Seriously.

Anyway great that both versions are up to snuff, now let's just hope it's mostly locked 30fps.

I'm hoping to pick this up for Xbox now that it seems there's no massive difference but I do wonder if PS4 has other advantages unless parity was forced.

Nice to see both will be 1080p. GTA V, while fun, was painful to look at on last gen hardware. Resolution bump will help loads.

Guys, its simply not possible. Not on this hardware.

We know this....unless we wanted it to look like the PS360 build.

Yeah.. The sooner people realize that 60 fps in open world games is simply beyond both systems capabilities, the better.

Anyway, nice that Rockstar was able to reach 1080p on both consoles. From the footage release today, the game looks amazing.

Based Rockstar.

This.

More foliage/pedestrians/traffic? Draw/view distance? Framerate stability?

Can't wait for the DF comparison on the two versions.

Good news. Should run awesome on ps4.

Seem game that are 900p on xbone and 1080p on ps4 most of the time have frame rate issues.

After the past year, I don't see how this is confirmation of the resolution for either of them.

If I don't see this type of statement being abundantly clear that it's native, I don't believe it.

Cool. It'll be interesting to see if the visuals vary between the two versions or if they just decided to aim for full-on parity.

I've supported the 1080p games on X1 and since I didn't buy it last gen this is as good as time as any I guess.

I'm more shocked that there's people who expected this game to run at 1080p/60fps on a console. Just not happening with a game as huge as GTA these generation machines.

Can't wait for it though. Rockstar are the hype masters and they've hooked me again with the FPS trailer. I expected it to be 900p/30fps on the Xbox One so the extra resolution is an added bonus :)

Hopefully R* knows how anal people are about it..lol.

I've never played GTA V and can't really if it's that much better looking than MGS V

Outside of being open world, you can not compare the two....unless MGS V turns out to have massive cities, traffic AI, pedestrian AI, and tons of other things happening at once.

So is the PS4 getting any bonuses? Because of not, I might pick it up for the X1 instead. Wonder if they'll look the same completely.
