Some of the negative points from reviewers in the review thread gave me a good chuckle this morning, especially the sprint one.

Am I right in thinking that H2A is the only game at launch getting matchmaking until it's rolled out for the rest later?

There should be matchmaking for every game and some cross-game playlists. H2A is the only that has a ranked playlist at launch.

Does someone know updated MCC file size for EU? Mine is 57,9 Gb.

For those saying they don't have the update... hover over the mcc, press the view button, click manage game. For me it was the only place that said the MCC was 59 gigs. Everywhere else it said 45. So maybe some of you downloaded the update without realizing it.

No matter what you do someone gets fucked.

Destiny released at 12AM PST so digital owners couldn't get the game until that date. Worldwide, no matter where you were, 12am PST. Meaning East coast can't play until 3am their time.

For this release, East Coast still gets fucked. It released for everyone at the same time, but East Coast gets it at midnight their time while west coast gets it at 9pm. If you have school or job on tuesday then you get fucked again.



The best way to do it is to unlock at 12am per timezone. People in earlier timezones get to play the game first, yes, but it allows digital and physical owners to get the game at the same time (digital quicker) and more importantly allows for a staggered release.

Better to gradually allow more people onto the servers than to unleash floodgates.

Of course, we will find out later today when our little friend comes on to talk about Halo 5 today like he promised (can't remember his username though).

The leak was a mix of awesomeness and awfulness. I'm waiting for more information and trying not to panic.

The only serious negative in there (IMO) was loadouts however that was confirmed as false...

The stuff in that leak sounded mostly pretty cool. At least the new movement stuff. I like fast paced running around and melee killing on small maps.

It didn't sound completely bad,some of that stuff could be cool with refinement, stuff like climbing on boxes and hanging on walls has got to go.

If the leak is true, this here:

The second Gametype is called Breakout. It's a 4v4 deathmatch without respawns; if you get killed, you'll be out for the rest of the round. The map is small, it has a Tron look to it, it's an open space with pyramids, parallelepipeds and cubes that can be used as cover. The game will start with the team been literally catapulted on the map: you must be very fast to reach the Power positions on the map. First team to 5 rounds wins,
This gametype is very immediate and fun.

... Is probably one of the best things since that ever happened to Halo multiplayer. A true competetive and team-work focused mode.

Leak didn't sound amazing but didn't sound terrible either. Ledge climb animation is worrisome but we'll see if these fears are founded cone the Halo 5 beta.

Hopefully the beta is actually a beta. It should be far enough out from launch to make mechanics / physics changes.

Edit : and breakout game type sounds like a hopper just FILLED with people quitting out of games.

I may have overreacted slightly. That was the first thing I read when I woke up, but I was expecting the whole game to ship on release day.

I guess I can wait on how the new "stuff", but if it's bad, I most likely will just stop caring for a competitive Halo experience past Halo 5.

The whole Breakout thing, with them literally being catapulted on the map...I mean, they showed that shit in the trailer, didn't they? Trailer was probably telling you more than you thought.

Completely agree. This could make me interested in Halo e-sports

Edit. It would be even better if there was variants, ie. Breakout one flag, assault etc.

In all media, only true fans who consume every book, film, game, or pog collection deserve to know what's going on.
Some of the Halo 5 stuff sounds good, some of it sounds terrible. I will wait to see it and play it before I pass total judgement on it. Hopefully Arena is fully old school style halo and they have another set that is new an "innovative".

We are in this together guys, whatever happens with halo 5, happens, but let's at least give it a fair chance and at the very least give them the feedback they need to make the best halo game possible. It may not look like halo but it could be fucking awesome and end up being a true evolution of the Halo we know and love.

Where did you see this Halo 5 leak? I back read a few pages, didn't see it. Breakout sounds fun though. And it is kind of like the H5 beta trailer with all of the Spartans jumping onto the map so I believe it.
