Hey, I just want to see new art and designs in my games. So hard to uderstand? Half it's lifespan, it did exactly that, the latter half it stalled.
Well, they did have alts in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, you just had to unlock them through ghost battle.
TTT2 isn't canonical (i.e. a side game). And despite that, TTT2 is one of the most feature rich fighting games of last gen.
I honestly can't be arguing over this anymore. Got work to do.
How many fighting games have changed their character designs over the years. Based on the fighting games released, most of them have stayed the same from the beginning.

I really hope all the complainers are happy now.
Now I'm kind of upset because that's one less playstyle to play with. Maybe she would have been fun to use despite the bad design. :/

I don't actually believe he would remove a character from a region, I think he is just being sarcastic...I hope he is anyway.

I love everything about this character. I want this character type to be in everything, every single thing ever. Why? Aside from my loving it, I want everyone who gets outraged by it to have to look at it everywhere they look, the same way I have to look at everything that isn't some dumb Japanese bullshit. I want to feel the anger and hatred pouring from everyone as every game caters to my tastes. It'll sustain and enlighten my love of the dumbest shit and my disdain for the tastes of others.

Funny you ask as my three favs, Soul Cali, MK, Tekken, all do (did in Tekken's case). The point is Tekken no longer does. Just because others don't doesn't automatically mean Tekken shouldn't.
But that was when Tekken had a story it cared about. And I understand that there will supposedly be new alts for 7, but it'll still feel so stale if the UI and cg art and marketing all showcase these old designs. Competitive players don't care, but if you want a sequel and post launch support, you're gonna need sales. Most casuals think this looks more like the same with lame new chara ters based on all T7 threads I've peeked in. How could you be comfortable with that and at the same time scoff it off as a worthless opinion?

If she's legit not in it then I'm never touching Tekken 7. I doubt he's serious, though. He's probably just trying to call people out for being outraged when they still want the character.

See for me, I'm upset because this pisses people off who were going to get the game and/or were interested in the character. I don't condone this form of censorship.
It also means this is a brash decision for sales purposes rather than a quality and function decision for sales purposes.

I hope they genuinely cancel this Lucky Chloe character and try again but I doubt it.
Fighting game characters take ass loads of money to make. You can't just 'cancel a character'

Some of the people earlier in the thread said that yeah. Some serious, some not.
I however just accept characters in a fighting game. Eventually learn to deal with it. If I don't like playing the character it's whatever. I just won't play them.

For me it'll come down to singleplayer content and execution. Character is dumb as hell but I don't support the removal if other regions keep her... which is why I feel he's pulling a shitty stunt to prove we really want her.

And I ask again, if ten million of the 20 million fans opted out, is that good for your game going forward? It won't be anywhere that drastic, but with other factors witnessed in other threads about the game looking samey, what about those opinions should be taken lightly? Just to stubbornly hold your ground and mock these opinions while the game falters in sales as well as design?

In previous threads there were people crying out that Tekken is not doing enough to evolve aesthetically, but when they introduce a character like Lucky Chloe people complain as well. The irony... There are cutsie female characters in Tekken, but they've never went full moe with them. It is something new, and while I'd rather see a different style of character, I feel the salt levels are a bit exaggerated.

And I think people were talking mostly about the graphics, which don't appear to be an insane leap over 6.
I am so damn confused. If we seriously lose out on getting to play her I'm going to be so pissed.

For me, it's the art. When T6 tried being UFC with their marketing and UI and all artwork being almost unchanged aside from poses, it becomes stagnant and unnecessary for me to keep up as someone who doesn't care for the competitive side.
