Surprised there's not more Uncharted to be honest, figured that would be in almost everyone's top 3.

I think it's going to be a great game, but the hyper-sequelization of franchises sort of detracts when anticipating a game. A little hypocritical of me, being that Zelda and MGS are in my list, haha.

There are exceptions to this though, such as franchises that tend to offer a lot of variety from sequel to sequel, like certain Zelda or Mario games, or sequels that seem like large, generational leaps, like MGSV may be. Helps that it's releasing on PC as well.

1: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: I played through the Metal Gear Solid series last year and really enjoyed it. This seems to expand on the previous games in a cool way with more ways to infiltrate an area.
2: Persona 5: Persona 3 and 4 were great games and I want to see what they do with this one.
3: Batman: Arkham Knight: I played all of City and some of Arkham Asylum so I'm interested to see where they go with the story.
4: Hotline Miami 2: The first game was really fun with a great soundtrack and I want to see what they do this time.
5: The Witness: Braid was a really unique puzzle game so I'm curious to play whatever Jonathan Blow releases next.
6: Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
7: The Witcher 3
8: Rime: It caught my eye when I first saw it at Gamescom and it evokes the vibe of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus which raised my interest in it.
9: Hyper Light Drifter
10: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End: I'm not a big fan of the Uncharted series but the recent footage for this seems a lot more interesting to me.

1. Bloodborne :

When Miyazaki said they wanted to make this games atmosphere to feel like Tower of Latria from Demon's Souls I was sold. That is one of my favorite levels of any game by the atmosphere alone. Also the combat seems to be same as Souls series except much faster and offensive based which also make this really intresting title.

2. Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain :

I didn't really have high hopes for this game since IMO MGS4 and MGS:pW aren't really all that great games but after playing MGS:GZ I can safely assume that this game will deliver.

3. Persona 5 :

I really liked the tone of P3 and the gameplay changes P4 introduced and I feel like this is going to be mix of them.

4. Soma :

Even though I wasn't really fond of Amnesia because of the enemy encounter design this game has me intrigued solely on the fact that it is scifi horror. I hope this game has even more emphasis on exploration and minimal emphasis on enemy encounters.

5. The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D :

I haven't played MM ever and I've been interested for a while but not having a system to play the N64 version has me kept from playing it.

6. Resident Evil Revelations 2 :

I have high hopes for this because RE:R had some really good parts in it but also some of the worst the series has seen. Everything shown about this however looks really good.

7. Hotline Miami 2 Wrong Number :

Hotline Miami was really addicting and storywise really interesting title and I enjoyed it alot. This game seems to be more of the same with new mechanics added so most likely this will be a great title.

8. Let it Die :

It is a Suda51 title. I don't think this needs further explanation.

9. Just Cause 3 :

JC2 was great chaotic fun and I bet this will also deliver.

10. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD :

Last FF entry I've played was FFX and after that the series hasn't been really that interesting to me. Since this game is supposedly one of the best FF games released I am actually interested. Also the combat looks interesting

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: My most expected game. After finishing Ground Zeroes, I was floored. Kojima seemed to finally master storytelling without making huge exposition dumps like he did in Guns of the Patriots, what it also showed me was the capability of the rest of his team to make an incredible looking game at 60FPS (a rarity for AAA, not to mention open world games) with awesome gameplay mechanics. The Phantom Pain seems to continue this, along with the bridge that will connect Big Boss with Solid Snake and Liquid Snake, but also rising very interesting questions with new characters like the mysterious Skull Face. That's without counting the attention to detail, base infiltration and management, and of course, Metal Gear Online.

2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End: Naughty Dog has continually demonstrated that they have slowly matured their storytelling mechanics, while improving on their gameplay formula. After The Last of Us hit, they showed that they are able to mix up different kinds of gameplay, which was shown in the latest gameplay demo of Uncharted 4 with the combination of open ended stealth, action look promising. Also promising is that this is the last Uncharted game from Naughty Dog, so it'll definitely end with a bang. Even if certain events had given me worries for the game, the team continually proves that a game is not necessarily defined by a couple of people.

3. No Man's Sky: As a person who looks up to the stars, wishing that I was born in another time in the future to explore the Universe, No Man's Sky will hopefully allow me to explore an almost unending amount of stars. Exploration is what most excites me, who knows what will I find, where will I begin, what will be in the center of the galaxy. I also like that the developers are trying to be coy with the content of the game, long time ago I remember when people booted up a game without knowing fully how it played, allowing for very good surprises.

4. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Even though I haven't played the first two games (I gotta upgrade my PC, I know), I am impressed with the world that CD Projekt Red is building, which is quite unheard of. Even with the recent problem of downgrades, if the gameplay is well done and is rid of bugs, this will be a classic.

5. The Order: 1886: After the PSX, I think most people can agree that the game is on very good course. It has great soundtrack, very good voice acting, and a promising setting as a backdrop for a story that might just be great enough to extend to more games. It might not be innovative, it not might shake the genre. But a game doesn't have to do those things to be exciting, if The Order manages to be fun and leaves me wanting for more, I can only hope Ready at Dawn is able to make more, and do innovate a bit at least with the following games.

6. Bloodborne: I never really played the Souls games, I loved to watch it being played, but I knew I would get frustrated playing it, however I feel like From Software and Sony Japan have improved on this game, and while I can't put my finger on it, I do know I'm going to have a lot of fun with it, dying over an over.

7. Evolve: Left 4 Dead original creators are back again making cooperative games, this time with a twist: A human controlled monster. Playing the Alpha, I had many doubts in some games, are people good enough to control a monster to make it interesting? Is there enough content to support this game for the long run? While that build of the game was very limited, I found it very, very fun (the times I could play it that is haha), finding myself want more, level my characters to unlock more playstyles (each different class has different characters that are different from each other; they are not simply skins), and to play against experienced monster players. Not to mention that there'll be other modes (not yet revealed though) and more huge maps.

8. Batman: Arkham Knight: After Arkham City's amazing ending (I liked it dammit), Rocksteady, just like Naughty Dog, is finally ready to leave the franchise that made it big to grow more. While I've been able to stay relatively spoiler free, I do know that this has the potential to be a great Batman simulator (BE THE BATMAN) haha. But more seriously, I am slightly worried, the inclusion of the Batmobile can be an amazing inclusion, but I'm worried that they might make the player to dependent for transportation or missions, or it can make moving around Gotham City amazing (flying for a while, entering the Batmobile, just to use it as momentum to glide yet again), which is agravated by the great amount of Batmobile in promotional material. Nonetheless, the game has an exciting premise where every villain is uniting to take down Batman, new gameplay additions, and hopefully it can answer some questions left from Arkham City, and still have the huge environment handcrafted and filled with easter eggs and diverse content.

9. Everybody's Gone to the Rapture: The Chinese Room has a very good track of making adventure games. I've been always attracted at stories of a possible Rapture (not that it'd happen, but it's one of the most interesting topics in theology), it's also interesting that they seem to be mixing it with science along the way, and I've never really seen a backdrop such as this: English countryside in the 1980's. The developers have promised a lot of replayability which has me hopeful of lots of content and secrets. I just hope this isn't a mere walking simulation and allows for some interaction with consequences and multiple endings.

10. Rime: Tequila Works are introducing us to a mysterious world, where a boy is alone and has to explore and defend himself. The game seems to carry the influence of Ico, a classic in videogames, which is enough to get me excited. Along with the composer of the Silent Hill games, I hope Rime can deliver us an incredible experience that comes very rarely in games.

Very honorable mentions (I'm just as excited for these as the previous 10, it was hard to leave these out):

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
Life Is Strange
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege
Tom Clancy's The Division

I'll not include any remakes or HD upgrades in my list. I also don't own an Xbox One.

1) Batman: Arkham Knight - One of my favorite franchises from last gen comes to current gen. Rocksteady is back and they are just terrific. Kind of worried about the focus on the batmobile, but I believe.

2) Rime - That art style, the sense of wonder, the music. This game makes me want to explore its world like none other I have seen from 2015.

3) Uncharted 4 - I still haven't played 3, but 2 was one of the best games of last gen and TLOU was a masterpiece. I think ND will deliver again.

4) The Witness - Braid was a brilliant puzzle platformer and this looks like it will bring a similar sense of puzzled enchantment.

5) Tearaway Unfolded - I never played the vita version despite damn near buying the handheld for it. This game looks so wonderful. 3D platformers are basically my favorite genre, so I can't wait.

6) Splatoon - This is my most hyped Nintendo title of the year. Please deliver what I'm expecting. Charming, addictive shooting gameplay with some unique devices.

7) No Man's Sky - This game looks like the ultimate time waster. I can imagine flying from planet to planet and being sedated in the best way.

8) Star Wars: Battlefront - Honestly, Star Wars hype is kind of in overdrive for me either way. Combined with the fond childhood memories I have of the second one, it's a perfect storm of hype. If the online is steady this can suck me in for a long time. This is also the game on my list that I'm most doubtful of making 2015.

9) The Witcher 3 - Now, I've never played the first 2 of the franchise but this just looks phenomenal. I appreciate CD for taking the time to iron out the flaws before the release. I expect a great world with compelling characters mainly.

10) Ratchet and Clank: Redux - This would definitely be higher if I had any idea what the hell to expect. I said no remakes, but apparently this isn't one. I don't know whether to expect a true jump, because since Crack in Time R&C has kind of lost me. I'm a huge fan, so hopefully this is a proper return to glory.

Honorable Mentions:
Bloodborne - Haven't been into the series, but who knows this could be the one.
The Order: 1886 - More than most games I want this one to be great. I love everything about it, but I remain pretty unconvinced about the gameplay.
Persona 5 - Another series that seems really cool, and has the chance to hook me with this one.
Yoshi's Wooly World - Looks pretty delightful.
Everyone's Gone to the Rapture - Hooked me with that first trailer, haven't seen anything since. No expectations really.

2015 looks really fucking incredible.

Sadly, as a PC-only gamer, I have to leave out some cool stuff. Like... Bloodborne. Ugh.

1. Grand Theft Auto 5 (about time this game finally comes out)
2. Witcher 3
3. Pillars of Eternity
4. Metal Gear Solid V
5. No Man's Sky
6. Rise of the Tomb Raider
7. Quantum Break

1. Evolve - The alpha won me over and shot this high up on my list, I'm now pretty much foaming at the mouth for the beta and full release. Tthe game really stuck out to me for how interesting the interplay of various mechanics can be, there's a huge amount of potential with this, and the team makeups allow for huuuuge variance in strategies.

2. Zelda Wii U - I am basically a Zelda fanboy deep in my heart, though Skyward Sword was filled to the brim with horrible decisions. I'm liking the things they're saying about their general approach and am hopeful they're properly shaking up the franchise with this.

3. Xenoblade Chronicles X - Each time they show off the game it looks great, so I'm ready to say goodbye dear friends when it comes out.

4. Uncharted 4 - If the gameplay unveiling ends up being an accurate representation of the standard encounter design, this game could be absolutely incredible. TLoU and UC2 are both top tier games, and I seriously hope this gets added to that pile.

5. Batman: Arkham Knight - Rocksteady batman games are always a damn good time. Gotta admit that I'm not feeling great about the scope being expanded more and tossing in the batmobile, as I feel the games are strongest when it's more tightly focused.

6. Ori and the Blind Forest - A gorgeous game with Metroidvania roots that I was really looking forward to this year joined many others in being pushed back, so I'll have to just have it here instead. Bring me feels.

7. Bloodborne - I go back and forth on how I feel about Souls games, mainly for how many low points they tend to have. If Bloodborne can just be a more even game I will like it a lot more, and I'm liking the aesthetics a hell of a lot.

8. Overwatch - Really dug the unveil coupled with a blowout of class videos. If nothing else I want to play around with the various characters and see if it can replace TF2 for me which I fell out of love with.

9. Splatoon - Looks like an interesting shooter with a massive injection of Ninteno style. Got way more excited for this when I saw that it has what looks like a wacky single player with crazy music.

10. Persona 5 - Never played any in the franchise but I like RPGs so...ayyyyy.

Honorable Mention:
Majora's Mask 3DS - My favorite 3D Zelda getting remade is pretty damn awesome, but I didn't want to include it on the main list.

1. The Legend of Zelda Wii U: A new console Zelda will always be my most anticipated game. Loved the beautiful initial trailer and the apparent Miyazaki inspirations. That last footage wasn't exactly great but it's was alpha footage. Still have high hopes for this.

2. Metal Gear Solid V: The only series that excites me as much as Zelda. GZ had the best stealth gameplay of any game to date. So that on a larger scale plus tons of new abilities and weapons makes this a sure thing for best stealth game ever.

3. Bloodborne: Dark Souls was my game of the last generation. There are a few things I'm skeptical of but core gameplay is not one of them. It's also the game I'm buying PS4 for.

4. Star Fox Wii U : As basically nothing is known about this, I have nothing but pure hope & faith that Miyamoto and whoever else is developing this are making a true sequel to Star Fox 64.

5. Xenoblade Chronicles X: Xenoblade was probably the best JRPG of last gen so a sequel to that is obviously a big deal. Looks absolutely huge and has controllable Mechs!

6. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D: The most unique and interesting Zelda is getting remade, what's not to like? Some fine tuning and 30 FPS means it will be the definitive version.

7. Uncharted 4: With Druckmann and Starley on-board hopefully it's more like Uncharted 2 and less like 3. Potential for some of the best graphics and set pieces in gaming.

8. Persona 5: Loved Persona 4 Golden on Vita. It sucked over a 100 hours of my life. Although I prefer the aesthetics and darker setting of the main SMT series.

9. Batman Arkham Knight : I was disappointing with the supposed open city of Arkham City but this looks like the real deal. Controllable Batmobile is cool.

10. Splatoon: Fantastic art design, looks really fun and original. Don't usually like multiplayer focused games but the trailer of singe player got me hyped.

Honorable mentions: Scalebound would be #3 if it had a release estimated for 2015.

8. The Legend of Zelda (Wii U)
9. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
10. Quantum Break

narrowly missing my list: Star Fox (Wii U), Batman: Arkham Knight, Rime, Star Wars: Battlefront, Until Dawn and Silent Hills (enjoy watching my gf play horror titles), and SOMA.

1. Uncharted 4 - Uncharted was the game series that made me envious of PS3 owners when I had the 360. I finally got to play the series when I got a PS3 later a couple years back and I can say that it is definitely one of my favorite series of all time. The mix of story, gameplay and stunning environments, along with the Hollywood blockbuster feel to it, made me never want to put the controller down as I always had to see what was going to come next.

2. Bloodborne - I could see myself spending a lot of time on this game and with the incorporation of a co-op feature, it will make it easier to get my friends on board. The monsters looks deadly, the weapons devastating and the gore is just enough without going too over-the-top. Demon's Souls brought me to appreciate a more challenging game without completely risking the fun factor.

3. The Witcher 3 - I love how they always try to push the graphics to the best of their capabilities and free DLC is a big testament to their dedication to their fans. Playing Dragon Age: Inquisition only makes me want to play this game more. I enjoy the more political story that the Witcher brings and hopefully there are some improvements to gameplay (Still feel Oblivion and Skyrim does it the best).

4. Halo 5: Guardians - I have always had a love and hate relationship with the Halo series since Halo: CE. I could never really get into the story, but the multiplayer experience always brought me back for more. I appreciate the skill required to truly master the competitive multiplayer. If the additions they seem to be including will benefit the overall experience online and there are no major issues at launch, I could see this being the game that gets me to jump on an Xbox One.

5. The Order: 1886 - Love the atmosphere, the visuals look excellent. Gameplay looks a little suspect currently, but the story definitely has potential to be great with the alternate history London, the futuristic weapons and of course the half-breeds.

6. Mortal Kombat X - I wouldn't call myself a big fan of fighters, but I played a lot of Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter growing up. Although the movies were somewhat bad, I enjoyed the story and found the characters to be interesting. The fatalities in the game were always something that made an impression and the videos show them to be as brutal as ever, which is a good thing in MK. I didn't play any of the games on 360/PS3 and this one looks to be the one that will bring me back.

7. Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain - Open-world Metal Gear Solid is enough for me.

8. Quantum Break - Impressed with the initial views of the game so far. The incorporation of time manipulation looks to be a strong point of the gameplay. Don't have an Xbox One yet, but this and Halo 5 may get me to commit for 2015 Holidays.

9. No Man's Sky - I have absolutely no idea what to expect of this game. It certainly looks very intriguing and it seems like the possibilities could be endless. Gameplay is my only concern.

10. The Forest - A Minecraft-esque survival-horror game with cannibals made by Canadians (I'm Canadian) and impressive visuals. Can't wait to build shelters and traps with buddies.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : Possibly my favourite game series of all time and everything I've seen about the game looked amazing.

2. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt : The first two games were among the best I've played last gen, this one looks even better and I have full confidence that CDPR will come through despite supposed problems with development.

3. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : Druckmann and Straley being behind this is enough for me to give the game this spot.

4. No Man's Sky : If it delivers it will be a classic, if not it will still be interesting to explore the vibrant galaxy.

5. Bloodborne : More Souls is a good thing and the great setting certainly doesn't hurt.

6. The Tomorrow Children : It looks amazingly unique and the concept and ideas behind it really draw me in.

7. Batman: Arkham Knight : I love what Rocksteady is doing with the Batman license and while I have some doubts about the Batmobile I'm sure the game will match the quality of their previous games.

8. Firewatch : Great names behind it and what they've shown at Pax looked great.

9. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number : Loved the first game and I need more songs for my Ipod anyway.

10. The Order: 1886 : Incredible graphics and atmosphere. Latest impressions have been good and I liked what I saw of the PSX demo.

I could list so much more with Rime, Below, Pillars of Eternity, Battlefront, Persona 5, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture... the list goes on. It's going to be a great year.

1. Zelda U : It's the first original EAD Zelda game in HD. This is one of my favorite series ever so this is a pretty easy pick.

2. Halo 5 : 4 wasn't amazing, but Halo is still one of my all time favorites so I'm definitely looking forward to this.

3. Xenoblade X : Xenoblade Chronicles is one of the few JRPGs that I really love. This one looks to take its formula and greatly expand on it. Plus mechs.

4. Uncharted 4 : I haven't played any of the others, but I plan to before this comes out. I really liked the shootout I saw at PSX, looked very dynamic.

5. Majora's Mask 3D : I've been holding off on buying the VC version every since OoT 3D released because I knew they would eventually make this. My patience paid off and I can't wait to finally have played all the 3D Zeldas.

1. The Legend of Zelda Wii U : One of my favorite series of all time on my (currently) favorite next-gen console, with a huge open (but hopefully not too open) world and gorgeous HD visuals - the first time an original Zelda game has had them. Yep, I'm hyped.

2. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (Wii U) : Kirby: Canvas Curse still persists as one of my favorite DS titles ever, and I didn't think we'd ever get a sequel... let alone an HD one! The claymation art style is fun and I'm excited about the recently-announced multiplayer.

3. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4/One) : Kojima continues to be a madman and I love it. I'm not a fan of Keifer Snakerland at all, but the first trailer for this game is absolutely one of the best things I've ever seen and, as a long-time MGS fan, has had me hooked and salivating ever since.

4. Yoshi's Woolly World (Wii U): I wasn't the biggest fan of Kirby's Epic Yarn, but this totally captivated me at E3. It feels like Epic Yarn but with a less experimental, more solid concept that's completely fleshed out to its maximum potential. Plus I adore 2D platformers, so there's that too.

5. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D (3DS) : Majora's Mask has long been overdue for a remake, and I can't wait to revisit Termina with better visuals and stereoscopic 3D. Hopefully the soundtrack gets remastered this time too, though it probably won't. :( Still, I only ever completed this game once back in the day, so it's going to feel pretty new to me all over again!

6. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD (PS4/One) : Unlike many people, I'm a fan of modern Square Enix, so for me looking forward to this is a no-brainer. That said, even people who hate modern Square Enix seem to agree that Type-0 is a real gem, so I'm excited to finally have an officially localized version to play.

7. Hatsune Miku: Project MIRAI Remix (3DS) : Miku is great. The Project DIVA games are great. Having Miku on a handheld I actually use daily (i.e. not the Vita) will also be great.

8. Splatoon! (Wii U) : I played this at E3 and absolutely had a ball. It's just really fun and will help silence all the people who love to find ways to hate Nintendo and usually settle on "But they never create new IPs and only rely on their old ones!" (Who am I kidding? No it won't.)

9. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (PS4) : Uncharted 3 was something of a misstep, but I continue to love this series and Naughty Dog and the recent gameplay demo from PSE confirmed that they're putting together something pretty special. My only concern is that it might end up feeling too similar to Uncharted 1 setting-wise if what we've seen is where the whole game takes place. Still, looks awesome.

10. Star Fox Wii U : Even though we know almost nothing about this game, I'm just happy Star Fox is alive and finally returning. It's about time. That said, I'm both excited and nervous about Miyamoto being in charge of it; on one hand, that almost ascertains that it will use the Wii U GamePad in new, interesting ways. On the other, Miyamoto's severe distaste for anything resembling even a light narrative or character development in his games makes me think this will be another reboot á la Star Fox 64 and that this new game will throw out the universe and continuity that have been built over the last 15 years or so (an element that I know is not widely popular, but I've enjoyed following it).

Honorable mentions: Mario Maker, No Man's Sky, Persona 5, Shovel Knight (PS4/Vita), Silent Hills, Treasurenauts, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, Xenoblade Chronicles X

1. Xenoblade Chronicles X:

Game is looking good and I have been wanting a big time JRPG for a while. I honestly think this will be remembered as a top 5 JRPG of all time. Might be wrong but as of now my hype is up in the clouds.

2. Splatoon:

Wait mhs you're top two games are Wii U games? Hell yea they are! I used to love shooters, like the original halo trilogy, but recently I have stopped caring. This is changing that. It looks extremely fun and it's a new Nintendo IP! I think it has alot of potential.

3. Uncharted 4:

Game looks ridiculously good along with good looking combat. I just finished TLOU this summer and am having that Naughty Dog itch. Wasn't really looking forward to it until PSX now my mind has changed. My most anticipated PS4 game.

4. One Piece PW3:

As you can see I'm a huge OP fan. Never played one before cuz I was a Xbox fanboy but have switched to the PS4 Wii U combo. Can't wait to play as Luffy and the Straw Hats especially Zoro.

5. Metal Gear Solid 5:

Looks fucking amazing, game play looks good, multi looks fun so I'm definitely in. It's at 5 only because I've only beat MGS 3 and am not a huge fan of the series. This might change that.

6. Until Dawn:

I've never really liked horror games until I played the evil within now I'm craving them. This looks really fun and is a great experiment by Sony. It has a boom or bust potential but as of right now I think it will be a fun ride.

7. Persona 5

I loved Persona 4 golden on my vita so I am very exited about it. If it is P4 with prettier graphics and different characters I would totally be okay with it. My hype isn't at the top though because they haven't shown us alot yet but as they show more my hype will rise.

8. Bloodborn:

I'm pretty exited because it looks really good and fun while at it. Like the character models and love gore in my games. Never played a game the developers made and don't like overly hard games so that drops my excitement a little but I'm be picking this up for sure.

9. Zelda Wii U:

Looks fun and is a big time Nintendo game so I'm pretty sure it will be amazing. Never been a big Zelda fan though and have only beat one Zelda game so I'm not sure what to expect in the game like the story, character design, and dungeons.

10. The order 1886:

Looks like gears for playstation so I know what to expect, which is to have fun. I also expect it to be good but not great so I'll wait for price drop but I'm still exited by the prospects this game brings.

1. Legend of Zelda Wii U : The new Zelda looks absolutely amazing so far. I'm already loving what I'm seeing. Zelda's one of my favorite franchises ever, and I'm more than stoked for the latest entry in the franchise.
2. Xenoblade Chronicles X : Xenoblade was one of my favorite games last gen, and the sequel looks to be even better. Loving those mechs.
3. Persona 5 : Like Xenoblade, Persona 4 is one of my favorite games ever, and I'm excited for the long awaited sequel.
4. Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D : Normally I wouldn't put a remake so high up here...but it's the remake of one of my favorite games ever.
5. Bloodborne : I won't lie; I'm still more than a little disappointed with Souls 2, but this game looks really promising at least.

1. Bloodborne : The Souls series is one of my favorites in gaming, and this game is single-handedly going to be the game that pushes me into the new generation. I only own a Wii U right now, but the day this comes out I'll be buying a PS4 so I can play it.

2. Batman Arkham Knight : I believe I said I would get a PS4 for this if it came out in 2014, but since it was pushed to after Bloodborne's release I'll just be picking it up day one. The combat in Rocksteady's Batman games have always been ace, and I can't wait to see what mythology they create in the end of their trilogy.

3. Persona 5 : Persona 4 is one of my favorite JRPGs of all time, so I'm really excited to see where the Persona series goes in the next iteration.

4. Uncharted 4 : While U3 disappointed me a little bit, it was mostly because I over splurged on media and trailers so I knew all the interesting setpieces. Now that I've seen some demo gameplay, I know this game is going to be amazing so I'm going on media blackout until it releases. Cannot wait for more adventures with Drake.

5. Until Dawn : Looks like a really fun horror game in the style of Heavy Rain, and seems like it'd be pretty entertaining to play with friends. Also like the idea that each time you play, you can have slightly different results.

6. Ratchet & Clank : Really excited for the movie, and I'm interested to see Insomniac's re-imagining of the very first game in the series. The same story with all the new mechanics introduced in later games would be pretty awesome. I hope it's great.

7. Metal Gear Solid V : I haven't really been super psyched for this, mostly because I've been avoiding most media about it and haven't even played Ground Zeroes yet. I think once a firm release date is set I'll be more excited, but I'll definitely be getting this at some point.

8. Grim Fandango Remastered : This is basically THE LucasArts point-and-click adventure game that I haven't played yet. So I'm excited to finally get to play it, and in HD to boot.

9. Star Fox Wii U : I'm not that excited yet since we haven't seen anything, but I'm letting myself hope a little that we'll get a worthy Star Fox 64 successor and not something inferior. Still, I guess new Star Fox in general is hype worthy.

10. Mortal Kombat X : I'm a sucker for the MK mythology and fighting games, and I'm interested to see how the new characters fit into the MK universe.

1)Splatoon - Since it's debut at E3, this game has really been high on my radar. It just looks fun, colorful and very different.

2)Batman: Arkham Knight - While the Batmobile gameplay is kind of a turn-off to me, I can't deny that I love the first 3 games in the series. 4th time around!

3)Xenoblade Chronicles X - My personal favorite RPG... adds giant mechs. I'm in nerd-heaven!

4)Uncharted 4 - Aside from looking pretty, looks like the game will improve (fix)the fundamental combat and makes setpieces a bit more dynamic in nature.

5)Kirby and the Rainbow Curse - Okay, the game just looks cute!

6)Citizens of Earth - No idea why, but this game has my interest.

1. Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart : Noire can finally take her proper place as main character.

2. Persona 5 : Loved the past Persona games. I doubt this will disappoint me.

3. Uncharted 4 : Excited to see how this all ends.

4. Batman : Arkham Knight : Rocksteady's previous games didn't disappoint me.

5. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate : I haven't actually played a game in the Monster Hunter series before but I've played games in the monster hunting genre before and I've enjoyed all of the ones I've played so far.

6. Godzilla : I played the demo and thought it was fairly enjoyable. Hopefully we'll get more Kaiju games in the future

This sounds like fun:

1) Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea (PS3)

Yes, my most anticipated game for 2015 right now is Atelier Shallie, ever since I played Rorona and Ayesha I fell in love with the series. The character design is fantastic to me just like the music and alchemy systems. Besides, I played Escha & Logy recently and I'm eager to know how the story continues.

2) Halo 5 Guardians (Xbox One)

I'm actually a very passionate Halo fan. I love the universe they created for it but the thing I love the most about the series is of course, the multiplayer. I've met a really big number of real friends because of Halo 2 and 3 so the fifth game is a must for us. And at least right now, it's looking seriously good.

3) Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U)

I loved the first game and JRPGs are probably my main genre. I'm also a Gundam fan so it's obvious that I'm really excited for Xeno X. It's looking like one of the games that will really push the WiiU forward.

4) Zelda U (Wii U)

I've always been a huge fan of Zelda, but ever since Majora's Mask, I feel the series has taken a turn for an easier and more childish style that hasn't allowed games like Skyward or Wind Waker to be masterpieces like Ocarina/Majora/LttP. Zelda U is looking like it could go back to where the series was in the N64 days so I'm really eager to see more.

5) Tales of Zestiria (PS3)

The Tales series, while not always good storywise, always delivers some incredibly awesome and solid battle systems. That's what I'm most excited about in Zestiria. I've been following the character revelas during the past months and it looks very good.

6) Senran Kagura: Estival Versus (PS4/Vita) (Japan-only so far)

The Senran Kagura series has provided a couple of very solid surprises to me with Burst and Shinovi Versus, I do love the girls and the extremely ecchi art style but I also appreciate that, especially with Shinovi Vs, the games are actually very good. XSeed has been good to us localizing them so I'm crossing fingers to see Estival soon.

7) The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D (3DS)

Majora's Mask is my favorite Zelda game and seeing it remade in 3DS is like a dream come true. I love every aspect of it; the world, characters, gameplay, bosses, dungeons, masks, etc.

8) Bravely Second (3DS)

I doubt we'll see this localized in 2015 but I have hope. I liked the first game a lot and appreciate it's nice mix of retro and regular JRPG gameplay with a lot of modern things like the town rebuilding and friend-summoning mechanics via Spot Pass. It also offers a Cat-Master job, so there's that.

9) Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (Wii U)

I'm a fan of the series, I appreciate that most of its games offer a brand new way to play them, especially Canvas Curse, Mass Attack, Epic Yarn, etc. The clay art style is looking very pretty and innovatie so I'm very eager to play it.

10) Final Fantasy Type-0 HD (PS4/Xbox One)

I've been wanting to play Type-0 since forever, it looks like a very solid JRPG and everywhere I hear good things about it. It's an expensive game but I'm still excited to finally try it out.

------------------------

Final Fantasy XV and Persona 5 were obvious choices but since we really have no clue when they're coming out, I decided to leave them out and go for things confirmed for 2015 release.

Honorable mentions:
- Ori
- The Witcher 3
- Atelier Ayesha Plus
- Bloodborne
- No Man's Sky
- Splatoon

1. Pillars of Eternity : It's actually tied with the next two for number one but I gave this one the edge since I'm sure its going to come in 2015. It also happens to be the spiritual successor to quintessential fantasy party based RPG. With Bioware moving away from Baldur's Gate 2, this is pretty much all that's left that's attempting take the crown away from BG2.

2. The Legend of Zelda Wii U : As much as I love RPGs, The Legend of Zelda is my favorite series and I didn't hate Skyward Sword either. I'm hoping this can inch closer to the perfect Zelda game with a world that feels alive and even better combat added to its already beautiful art style.

3. Torment: Tides of Numenera : A spiritual successor to the greatest written RPG of all time and some (me) say the greatest RPG of all time. It has a lot to live up to and they've assembled the talent to do it especially with George Ziets, the guy responsible for Mask of the Betrayer (the best RPG released last generation imo), fully on board. It also made the right choice in the RTwP vs TB battle.

4. Serpent in the Staglands : Another of the great PC RPG Kickstarters. This time a spiritual successor to Darklands. Despite the two member team and the low funding goal on kickstarter, this was fairly ambitious which more than anything lead to some worries. However the beta was well received and the updates have been really detailed and interesting. Hopefully this pulls a Divinity and gets people from outside the cRPG crowd interested.

5. UnderRail : Another PC RPG, this time drawing inspiration from Fallout 1/2. Even though its still in early access, it has an incredible amount of content and its only $10. Honestly this would probably be higher on my list if I hadn't played so much of it in early access. But I have and its really, really good. You know its something special if you can impress the NMA and RPG Codex crowd when you name drop Fallout.

6. The Age of Decadence : An indie RPG on early access, while I haven't played this like I've played UnderRail, its name holds weight in the RPG crowd. Its had a pretty tortured development history but right now things seem to be going smooth. Or as smooth as things go for an indie studio. Its promising to focus on choices and consequences and by all accounts its doing wonderfully.

7. Persona 5 : Persona 4 was really good. It had a decent story, mostly charming characters, and the personas were good. If they spruce up the dungeon crawling and add some reactivity to the main story then it'll be in the best jRPGs of all time conversation for me.

8. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt : Its a really good year for RPGs when an AAA open world game from a studio that's done well its past two times up is the last one on the top 10 list. There have been some worrying signs. The size boasting and comparisons to Skyrim but they have name dropped Gothic before so that's a good sign. There's also been the maybe downgrade but if they do the modding tools right, that won't be a concern. On the other hand it has been a while since they've mentioned modding tools. Anyways more hardware power should translate into better games in the open world area. However, Gothic 2, Morrowind, and Ultima VII are still the kings of genre. The crown is ripe for the taking and there's another contender in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. I'm hoping one of them will take the crown and I have my money on The Witcher 3

9. Chaos Reborn : Since its a Julian Gollop strategy game, its almost guaranteed to be a least, good probably great. From the few minutes I spent with the demo it definitely lived up to that. Now I'm just waiting on single player campaign but it still looks like the best turn-based strategy game next year.

10. Day of the Tentacle : It knocked Grim Fandango off this spot since I haven't actually played this game and I'm very much looking forward to it. Hopefully it lives up to the good things I hear about it.

Hi, everyone. These are the games that I will definitely play in 2015.

1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is the first game that I played when I was finally able to move away from SNES and N64 from the 90s and buy a PS3 in 2007 with my own money, so the Uncharted series always has a special place in my heart. Watching the PSX demo and seeing how much more open the environment in which I can fight the enemies is, excited and scared me (in a good way) at the same time.

2. Persona 5: P4G is the first game that I played on Vita, and I was instantly hooked by the main characters and their stories, the music, and the fast-paced battles. I recently played P3 but didn't like the characters and the dungeons as much, so I'm hoping that P5 will be more like P4.

3. Until Dawn: I secretly like thriller films with serial murders where I get to guess who dies and who is the mastermind. It was nice and surprising to see the audience participate in the PSX demo, and I can't wait to try that out with my mates.

4. Bastion: A friend introduced me to the PC version, I got my own copy later, but alas, my laptop just couldn't handle the game. When Transistor was announced for the PS4, I had my fingers crossed that Supergiant Games would soon release Bastion too. Last week, I got my wish.

5. Tearaway Unfolded: Tearaway is one of the few games that, I felt, was so perfect that I couldn't bring myself to play it again, knowing that the second play can't be better than the first. I hope to be proven wrong with this retelling of Iota/Atoi's journey. It's also one of the few games that I got my mom to play for awhile, and seeing her embarrassed to see herself in the sun and listening to her complain that she didn't have any makeups on made me smile.

6. Rime: I actually don't like Ico that much, but the graphics here, the mood, the lighting and such, I can't wait to try out this game. Two of my best mates are Spanish, so I have a thing for things from Spain.

7. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number: Fast-paced levels and amazing soundtrack in the first game (which I really need to go back to and platinum). I'd like to meet Devolver some time and see what they are like in real life.

8. King's Quest: I wasn't familiar with the series until I saw the Game Awards last week. Hearing the story of Ken and Roberta and watching how beautifully the trailer captured the essence of such adventure stories made me want to learn more about the game and play it for myself.
