Ah, alright. Fun games though :3

Yup, that was fun. Thx for playing!

I think the biggest issue I'm having so far in Smash is the online matchmaking. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to whom you get matched in With Anyone. Makes it tough to practice more advanced techniques without being vulnerable.

Does it worth it to buy game for single player mostly as I undetstod from various videos random online is not as fun as playing with friends, but Im the only Wii U owner among my friends

Bring them home skillets over to your place for smash.
Couch Multiplayer is where it's at.

Decided to jump in and get an Amiibo for Smash. Decided to get a Yoshi, so I could do some gameplay experiments to see how much it actually learns. Trained for about 45 minutes, Red Yoshi (me) vs. Blue Yoshi (him) on Omega stages with no items. The Amiibo got up to around Level 30 in that time. Tried him against a Level 7 CPU afterwards to see what he does.

Some observations:
  • I intentionally abused a lot of short-hop aerial moves. A lot of short-hop nairs, bairs, fairs, and dairs. Of everything, this was actually the tendency the Amiibo picked up the most. When playing against the CPU, he was doing a lot of nairs off the ground into his opponent. He was even doing some of the fancier nairs, like dropping down quickly onto opponents with it. He did some strange stuff too. When the CPU would be far away from him, he would stand in the corner doing short hop dairs by himself, like he was practicing it. It was really weird.
  • I intentionally only did down-throws against him and he picked that up too. Against the CPU, he did three throws, all of which were down-throws. He wasn't trying to go up for the uair afterwards, though, which was disappointing.
  • He spams eggs better than me. I was doing egg throws to some degree, but he has a tendency to do it more. Especially when I'm in the air trying to land and he's on the ground. Against him, I was mostly chasing him in the air, but he prefers to stand and throw eggs instead.
  • I was going for a lot of offstage play against him, seeing if he would try to gimp his opponents. Kind of mixed results here. I notice, just like when I was training him, he isn't particularly afraid to go under the stage (whereas the CPU tries to stay up high)... But he isn't really trying to do fair spikes, interruption dairs, or repeated nair kicks.
  • He getting pretty good at rolling away from danger, but he's still pretty bad at air-dodging. He walked into a lot of stupid uairs. Maybe I wasn't air-dodging enough of his attack for him to pick this up more.
  • His tilts seemed about the same as me in terms of usage. I did very few down tilts and he didn't either. I notice he tends for favor the down smash more than I do.
  • He is surprisingly good at using the dash attack as an interrupter and/or roll-punisher.
  • He likes to do Egg Roll at lot more than me. In addition, I did exactly zero Egg Lays against him, and he only attempted one or two against the CPU.
  • He hates to spot dodge. I kept mixing them in so he wouldn't be so roll dependent on the ground, but he refuses to do them against me or the CPU so far.

Overall, I definitely could see some pattern recognition on his part. The main thing difference is the egg spamming, I think, but everything else kind of seems like the stuff I was teaching him. It really is difficult to tell if this is all just a placebo or not, however. He seemed to play differently than the Yoshi CPU (especially all the short hops) but it's difficult to tell sometimes.

I've been fairly successful playing Mega Man in for glory. I think since his play style is fairly unorthodox people need a couple games to adjust to him.

I will say playing a lot of MM makes switching to other characters a bit of an adjustment. The lack of side tilts in particular is tough.
