What happened in Q's link? My computer can't access archives since it's locked out of updates for flash and stuff.

And I've been having fun with Xrd lately. I think it's a pretty solid game and iteration to the series.

At the same time, I don't see any reason to never play +R ever again. The game still offers a lot, and of course there's a bunch of characters that have yet to return. Plus, the characters play rather different.

Is the netcode really that bad? Someone was saying it was completely unacceptable.

I'll hold off judgment until the PS3 patch. It's not to my liking at the moment compared to other ASW fighters. Outside of that weird connection I have with a friend in Florida, I haven't gotten a SoCal connection I'm fully happy with. As for my friend in Florida, the 2F delay felt better than any other 2F delay I've gotten, and it really did feel like it. What's odd was that he had 8F delay on his end and it felt awful for him. He had the PS4 patch while PS3 users like me are still waiting, so we'll see tomorrow.

Between this and all the netcode complaints I think I dodged a bullet.

I have actually mashed the counter that uses meter and have had success with getting out ahead of this scenario...

But then it's always more entertaining when people start hitting random buttons after the danger flash, so I just kept doing that.

Regardless of what version, he did learn something! I'm now convinced what we see is just a persona he came up with for clicks. I've always though no one can be that dens anyway.

He isn't the brightest spark, but his schtick of getting impossibly angry is exaggerated reality at best.

DSP is a overall a good ST player IIRC. Used to play with TechnicalMonkey and John Rambo, the latter having represented the US at SBO.

The netcode is great when you have a great connection, and it's kinda shit if you don't. P4U2 & BBCP netcodes are superior.
Aren't those online communities dead though? That's what I've been hearing anyway. Xrd is gobbling up all the AnimeFG community?

Too bad, because I've been watching Kill la Kill, and it makes me want to play Mu.

typical shitty whining from him, probably actually feels fresh as fuck still
the hate is strong in this one
Why didn't he hit the sack early? Of all the times to be sleep deprived. :lol

idk probably jet lag or something?

Jet lag (for US's sleeping hours) should effect the Japanese players more than someone from Europe.
I'm kind of surprised the international players didn't come out here a couple of days earlier. Jet lag (especially traveling over 9+ time zones, which anyone from outside the Americas would be doing) can really mess with your cognition, and it would have a negative impact on your play.

Isn't it like a 9 hour difference in PST?
Generally, adjusting backwards (like EDT to PDT) is easier than adjusting forwards (from PDT to EDT). I know the ugliest instances of jet lag I've had was coming from Japan to the US.

France uses GMT+1, so for him, it start at 9:30pm and ends at 3:00am. For the Japanese, it will be like waking up very early for the event.

Yo, enzo, I've got dates for some games.

Dec 16th The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match Final Edition (NA/EU)
Early 2015 Yatagarasu: Attack on Cataclysm (NA/EU)
Feb 17th 2015 Dead or Alive 5: LAST ROUND (NA/EU)
Feb 17th 2015 Dragon Ball Xenoverse (NA/EU)
Feb 24th 2015 Under Night In-Birth: Exe
really
Late (NA)

All of them are from Steam, double checked elsewhere, and the yatagarasu one is from a dev post in the yatagarasu forums. Made it that format for our EU brethren who write the days and months the other way.

GGs.

If you want me to use my main, or someone else in particular, just let me know. Who do you consider your main?

I'm not entirely sure yet. Right now I'm thinking between Villager, Olimar, and Ness. Kind of tempted to try out Shulk, Lucina, or Ike as they feel like sword characters that are more my taste than any of the Marvel sword characters or anything.

All of your characters were great, and I definitely need to get back into playing real people. Stopped playing For Glory after that error code was happening. Which characters were more your mains? Because I know you play Bowser, but your Palutena and Ganondorf were super super solid too

Bowser is my main. Everything else is just something I mess around with on the side. I have probably put the most time into Palutena as a secobdary. Ganondorf is all fundamentals, so I tend to do well with him just for that reason.

If you want to play a great Villager, play Beef. Shamrock on here has the best Ness I have seen. I haven't played a good Olimar yet. Supposedly, TWILT has a great Shulk. I haven't played a great Ike or Lucina here yet.

I feel like Villager is the character I can relate to best from someone like Cap, and I'll keep all that in mind. I just need to play more, really. I know I'm still pretty ass so hopefully I can get decent again relatively soon, lol

It's Capcom who are probably paying for the tickets. You think they have the money for extra hotel nights XD

I guess it depends on how you play Cap. We never actually got to play Marvel together, so I am not privvy to that info.

I just pick whoever looks coolest. My playstyle changes game to game.

Flying in on Thursday would have been near impossible due to megastorm.

I threw a lot of low aerial Shield Slashes and a lot of Charging Stars, lol

And wow, we never actually did play Marvel together. Well, if I enter at Evo this year we'll have to play, but Smash U is definitely my main game now.

You only dodged a bullet if your internet sucks

Ahem... my internet is just fine, tyvm. PS3 is wired, 0% packet loss to both NY and CA, round-trip ping time from CA to FL is 90ms with 3ms jitter, router is just fine and dandy, etc.

5f to 7f delay seems to be the average lately, hmph!

Trying to go to EVO next year and I'm looking for a hotel to stay that's not too far from the Paris. What's a good hotel to stay at that won't kill my wallet?

It seems that GG, like SF4 is very dependent on how fast your internet is. The only people I've heard that have said theyve rarely had issues with SF4 online(PC/PSN) have very fast internet.

Weird I was playing ranked games last night with 3 and 2 bars and getting 2-4 frames and I've been streaming.

Honestly though I'm pretty darn sure that frame counter is fucking with people. Now that you can see exactly how much it's making people paranoid.

I would say the bars are inaccurate in ASW games. It's not unusual for 1 bars to be better than some 3 bars.
I got a good 2F delay on my 1 bar friend, while getting 5-6F on a 3 bar friend.

I just don't think the frame counter is accurate from what I've played. 4 different people I played so far with 2-3F delay, and they all felt different (concerning just delay, no spikes on any of these).

Regardless, I'm just ignoring the numbers at this point.

I've been fine with SFIV, but that's a different game. It's nothing great, but I can react to whiffs and do links fine.

People also need to know that the frames is just an average, not the current amount of delay. So it could be fluctuating a lot. So it's basically going from good to worse consistently depending on how much it changes in-game. If you're getting 4f to 5f, it's consistent at least. If it's 5f to 9f, you're going to have a shit time.

Location Test for T7 going down right now in Korea. They weren't allowed to open the cabs to stream directly... let's hope for some cell phone vids.

Well, hopes came true, some cell phone vids finally surfaced.
