Now to see if Best Buy is going to be equally as shitty and cancel my Meta Knight. Thankfully I have a ToysRUs and Best Buy in the same lot if my only option is to get them in stores. Target opens before them usually so I'll go there first, then hit Best Buy then TRU. Exclusive struggle is real.

I bit the bullet and pre-ordered Lucario at Amazon UK, $22 is more than worth not having to deal with the headache of Toys R Us. Now I'm going to have to see if I can find a Pit somewhere, does anyone know the exact release day for it?

Euhm. You can't even pre-order Wave 3 anywhere here yet. And the rare wave 1 figures were gone day 1 too. Little Mac is missing in action on almost every retailer online store here too. This is not the land where Little Mac & Marth are flooding into stores like waterfalls dude.
We just are not as big of a consumerwhore as the US. Pre-order culture is just not as big over here.

A couple of weeks back, I preordered the W3 off Zavvi. Now, the only ones up online are the W2s; they don't even have the W1s anymore. I'm pretty sure I won't get thkse W3s from Zavvi, so also ordered on Game, Amazon and Nintendo's online shop.

I think it's because the pre-order culture over here is not as big as over in the US yet. People usually don't pre-order stuff in full months in advance over here, thus more amiibo's make it to the actual store.
15 Marth's in one store does make this place seem like Amiibo Wonderland though haha, gotta give you that.

Better save up a lot of money cuz your gonna be paying more than $12.99. Especially for a character like Ness. The scalpers are gonna be all over him.

I really don't get how:
a) Toys R Us doesn't know how many of its own exclusive it's getting and to only take enough preorders to cover enough stock.
b) Nintendo doesn't have enough lead time on Wave 3 to manufacture how much Toys R Us needs.

I do wonder if stores are going to issue a one per customer rule on amiibos soon. Nintendo and the stores at some point have to be fully aware of scalpers taking advantage of them. Almost every comic book store has a one per customer rule whenever a popular book comes out.
What we need is a google maps of any amiibo sightings so we can track distribution lanes and pre-emptively guess when stores will get them...yes, I've done this for toys in the past

The Toys R Us thing sucks the most b/c I could have preordered elsewhere easily when I placed that one. I'll go with WalMart going forward. One thing that's for sure, they'll use their retail muscle to get what they can.

Well, my pre-orders for King Dedede, Meta Knight, & Pit have been taken off from Best Buy. I've been on the phone for three hours, and they are dodging answering the question for me.
This is becoming incredibly stupid now, but I'm sort of glad that this isn't an isolated issue for me.

I glanced at their Amiibo shelf above the Wii U section and saw the regs so I didn't bother pushing around.
All a part of robotic training, trying to appease to a mass amount of complaints. They just get thick skinned (for the most part) and just read off their scripts.

Well, looks like my Little Mac has been dispatched and is due for delivery today by Amazon UK. Here's hoping the second Mac that I've ordered for my friend dispatches today and arrives tommorow as well!
