I can't *believe* these lazy developers keep making file sizes so damn large. Btw, how does technology work?
Can someone catch me up, real fast, please?

- I have all Wave 1
- I have Luigi, Pit, Zelda, Cpt Falcon, Diddy, and Mac still processing on Best Buy... thus I have all Wave 2 preordered, correct?

- I have Shulk preordered
-Lucario cancelled
-Missed Rosalina
-No metaknight preorder yet

-Still need to preorder all of Wave 3


Is that all correct?

Yep. That's all of Wave 2.

Good luck on getting Lucario and Rosalina though. You'll probably have to import them at this point. All the regular Wave 3 figures are still available on Gamestop. Meta Knight is still available at bestbuy.com

You can get a $5 Gamestop coupon for downloading Battle Assault on the App Store and signing up for Kongregate. I got a bunch and am using them to get amiibos for under $9 each. Coupon expires on the 29th.

Managed to snag a Captain Falcon at Target today. They had two but one was broken and also had the worst paint job I'd ever seen. The one I got looks really awesome.

Stopped at another Target looking for Luigi. No Falcon/Luigi anything. Started checking my phone for other stores that might have them in and not more than 5 seconds later some random customer comes by and puts a Luigi back on the shelf that he decided not to buy. So awesome. :D

I'm gonna poke around tomorrow and see if I can find more from wave 2.

Anyone else think finding Amiibo is a lot like Whac-A-Mole? These things pop up for 30 minutes to an hour at a time at all hours of the day at about a dozen different retail sites and in stores.

Collecting this way is NOT fun.

I guess Lucario is back on eBay? I just ordered one. Now I just need Rosalina unless BB cancels my Meta Knight order. That thing has been up forever and I don't think there is a chance in hell they will have enough to fulfill all orders.

Yup I got mario, donkey kong, and link for $8.40 after tax.

Got kirby for $3.50 or so using a $10 off rewards coupon.

With captain falcon and diddy from target this morning that's a pretty good haul!

Wow I had been storing these in my closet and didnt realize how much it was. I think my daughter will like them. I plan on lining them up from her room to the tree. I think with this scarcity matched with my impulsiveness it is a dangerous combo. I have Marth and Villager under the tree as well from in laws ha. Not to mention a couple coming from Germany because I didnt think they would pull through. Just need Pit now from Wave 2.

Dont worry any extra are going to a local Amiibro and to Gaffers after the holiday postal crunch. I have to say Falcon is my favorite so far followed by Fox. Great detail.

Ok so no one has seen Pit in the wild yet, except for the guy in Texas correct?

Here is my latest updates

TRU cancelled all my preorders (5 of them, Ike, Sheik, Megaman, Sonic, Lucario). Reordered all of them and did the non exclusives for in store at GameStop as well just in case.

Went to Target at 225th St in the Bronx cause the website said they had "Limited Availability" of Captain Falcon. I said fuck it and went at 2:40pm. I get there and there Amiibo shelf is pathetic. But quick glance I don't see captain falcon. So I ask the employee and he goes I just put the figure out. And there was only 1 on the shelf. I said, you just got one. He said yep. I said thanks so much. Looks great. Box corners are a little rough but not bad. I'll post a picture later potentially.

Best Buy still hasn't shipped my Little Mac.

We will see. Loving the hunt.

I have just visited my Local TRU just one more time for giggles and potential of new stuff. I got a few more Lucario pre-order cards!

I'm going to hit up the people I had to turn away yesterday but I have TWO in-store pre-orders for Lucario available. If you would like one I'll only charge MSRP+Shipping WHEN I HAVE HIM. TRU could always fuck me, but ostensibly I have the pre-order.

Say so if you're interested, first come, first serve.

For fans, I doubt this is fun for them but it certainly seems to help Nintendo in keeping people's interests.

I was skeptical about the idea but they seem to have found a way to make it work (just speculation):

- Release limited Amiibo figures for scalpers, toy collectors, and hardcore fans to compete over due to hype.

- Release cheaper Amiibo card forms of them later on that can be more mass produced and be obtainable for wider audiences.

They both have the same functions for their games so it will minimize the number of people who may complain about missing out early on.

If the total is under $20, I can live with that. Saves on wasting gas ;)
