Mine has none in fact I cant find diddy in 4 targets 6 gamestops, 2 Tru, 3 BB, 5 walmarts, a kmart, only place ive seen him is SpinStreet (local chain)

Diddy couldn't be found anywhere and then all of a sudden I've seen him everywhere. I think maybe a huge supply was sent to various retailers.
The easiest way to see how in demand an amiibo is is to check their amazon page. Zelda, Luigi and Diddy have been available uninterrupted for a couple weeks now. Pit, Falcon and Mac are out of stock 99% of the time. They go back in stock for a couple minutes at a time and then are gone again. I happened to luck out and get my Captain Falcon from them by checking the page at the perfect time, but he was available for less than 10 minutes (and hasn't been again since).
Not a great indicator as they could have 10k zelda and 1k little mac
Little Mac it is then.
Also, i'm not sure if it is a coincidence or a true sign that I was destined to get the Little Mac amiibo, but they had a brand new copy of Punch Out for the wii for $12. It was the only wii game they had as well. I guess I got pretty lucky tonight...

I didn't order Pit from TRU, but my Captain Falcon order hasn't been cancelled...yet.
Maybe we should stop using "John" as a generic reference to scalpers. The guy doesn't deserve the attention even if it's in a negative way.

Yup thats prolly true. But there is nothing to do about it really ignoring him will make him more persistent and using it will make him happy its really lose lose and we know its obvious there are plenty like him opportunity for profit is too great with little risk of not being able to sell them back. Or just return them if unsold... Group buys seem like the best option and assurance imo.

I FINALLY found a Falcon amiibo in a Gamestop...but there's some damage to the box. To the point where I can shove my finger into an inches-long seam (...stop) on the bottom.
I'm debating whether I should (a) try and re-sell/flip it to someone who is trying to complete their collection, (b) contact Gamestop and see if there's somehow they can send me a replacement, (c) open it up and let the homeboy crash with Villager on my bookshelf?
Contact gamestop customer care, Be warned you'll be in queue for awhile. I just talked to them recently regarding my order and the damaged. They're very helpful

Ignoring him might be the best way to limit his notoriety. When people see this thread, that is one more person who could possibly seek him out who wasn't even aware of him before. You know people are going to buy from him just because they know we are annoyed by it. You're right, he's going to scalp stuff on ebay either way, but we don't have to feed into his childishness. As they say...don't feed the trolls.
A group buy is a good idea and I think people are helping as much as they can by offering trades and figures at MSRP+shipping which is awesome. Every little bit counts.
I guess I'm doing exactly what I'm asking others not to do by continuing to talk about him so I will stop. lol

Just got my TRU shipping confirmation for Pit. Also called BB and they got my preorder in so they say.

If you like playing as Mii, there's 10 costumes you can get. I wear the Captain Falcon outfit & drive the Blue Falcon cart on the F-Zero track & pretend it's the closest we'll get to a new F-Zero game.

Even though they charged me I don't trust TRU for Falcon so I just put in an order on Amazon too.
Driving me CRAZY that Pit shows up in search as $12.99 but when I click on him there's only 3rd party sellers.

i had the opposite problem. THe captain falcon product page made it seem like there were only 3rd-party sellers, but amazon actually had them in stock when i clicked the see-everyone button.
