Hmm, I like maps =X

Anyway, google tells me it's called Clairvoyance in Skyrim (in case you want to know).

Yep, just looked it up. Seems quite similar to Dead Space's RIG Navigation System, whereas the path is illuminated as long as you hold the button but disappears the second you let go.

I haven't heard anything about physical pre-orders. Anyone have a source?

Oh, I went to pick up the link of where I read it and I got the game totally wrong >.>

Sorry D=, I got too hyped for a minute there.

e: although, according to last page, the Wii U bundle sold out at amiami, I guess.

Uh... Have we discussed this pic?
Off-TV Play In Xenoblade Chronicles X Was Requested Mainly By Western Fans
At first, Kojima says, he was uncertain whether or not the Off-TV Play feature would work as intended, just due to the sheer amount of information displayed on the screen during battles, but ultimately it turned out okay so the feature was implemented.
After reading this^ up seems like it's a screen of the gamepad's off-tv function imo

Sold out on Amiami
Even the Wii U bundle

The wii u Xenoblade bundle sat at number one for quite a bit on Amazon.jp after it was announced. It still sits at number 5. I'd say that's pretty respectable. This game might move some units after all. It's a shame we'll never see such a bundle in the Americas. Europe should take heart though, NoE is actually competent.

I think we'll see a Xenoblade X bundle in NA as well
just without the art book and stuff lol.

Give us a CE please NoA/NoE and make sure if you're offering poster it isn't as bullshit as when Xenoblade was released >=(

Had to preorder instore at GAME to get them, so extra £5 and I didn't get a single poster but got fucking told by the employee to check eBay if I want it so much...

It's just me or the %number in BLADE tower is pretty low in this picture?

The Doll seems kinda advanced or at least customized.

And all those icons... who knows...

I'd say is a late game picture (story wise)... Or a very early one (development wise)

foxuzamaki

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own
Has anyone done a comparison running speed between xenoblade and X? without sprinting is X still faster?

Oh man, I saw the sales wrong but it was still right =P

Back to optimism then.

Or maybe your mecha starts like that, and at the end of the game... It becomes
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

It does. I remember it dropping from 60% to 59% in the first E³ trailer. Looks like 11%, or 14% from what I can make out. Probably represents the energy reserves of the city, and likely one of the reasons you will need to mine the planet's natural minerals.

Perhaps it simply represents GAF hype meter. The constant whining about the character's faces took quite a toll apparently.

It's been blown up. Blurry but look at those colors on the mech
xa2L9An.jpg

I love it!

Wonder what those 5 symbols at the bottom right are. Wonder if they possibly represent parts of your doll.

edit: You can also see all of the BLADE faction icons right below the map with one of them highlighted.

Edit 2: The highlighted one looks like "Pathfinder"

Edit 3: My bad, I have no idea what that yellow upside down triangle is

Its actually the same Mech as the red one MC approaches in the garage of the second trailer, just has coloured lines on it (usually they're gray, here they're blue), and it has some sort of attachment on it's shoulder. http://i.imgur.com/E8ynaXU.png

At least it looks like a confirmation that we can visually customize our Dolls beyond just equipment.

I'd like to know where "Off TV Play" was requested. Where did they get that information from? Cause if western fans requesting anything is now a thing then those that would like party voice chat, at the system level so we don't have to worry about in games, would like to know where they can make their voices heard and who they have to direct these request.

Huh. I think it's time to start piercing the heavens then.

=P, anyway, I always thought mech customization was all but confirmed at this point, but still nice to see it.

never left the stone age
Customizing your mech.. Oh god. Can't wait to create something truly beautiful. As always, style will go before functionality, it's what the Souls series have taught me :lol

I am hoping that Nintendo doesn't realise they could totally get me to buy a "doll" amiibo line. That mech, I'll call him Weltall for now, looks awesome.

Beyond the Logos Artificial Destiny Emancipator.

Wow. Just.. Wow. They Really, REALLY stretched for that Acronym.

I imagine it's a hint at what the story may be. To go Beyond the Logos (which is Latin for Word usually meaning the Word of God) through an Artificial (there is some sort of brain implant all people receive in this) Destiny Emancipator (meaning to be free of fate and predestination which in this case refers to the Word of God) essentially the whole thing together means to go beyond what God intended through Artificial means; to be emancipated from fate. I imaging there will be religious themes because of that. And as long as you ignore the acronym it makes for an okay name for the groups going out and exploring the world.

Only problem with this is that I now have a blue "X" icon on my Wii U dashboard that refuses to launch because the time has not come yet.

And that time only will come in 2 and a half month =( Such a tease.
At least you'll be playing it in that time.... As for the rest of the would... :(

I guess we have xenoblade 3d to help with the wait

That thing about the 'brain implant' was a mistranslation/interpretation by Duckroll, I believe it was something about the 'head' being used to indicate the beginning of the word for emphasis, but I can't remember exactly what it was. Sometimes his stuff isn't the most accurate interpretation (still much appreciated though, don't mean any disrespect at all).

It has worked its way up to number two which is pretty cool. Hopefully it lives up to the hype and sells well.

That's pretty good. Only a VC Kirby game is beating it. I think this game is going to do well in Japan. It will no doubt do better in the West even.

I guess nothing released helps but at least it is something

a game like this would need to sell over a million copies for me to feel it got what it deserves

I don't think it will do over a million, sadly.

Interestingly, the game did have a little legs in Japan (probably from strong word of mouth). Its first week sales were only about 56% of its total sales.

But even if you take into account that Xenoblade X would probably do worse than Xenoblade because of the install base differences, it would still need to really perform in the US and Europe. And we have no data points for how Xenoblade to compare, only that I don't think it shipped a million worldwide.

Samuari_Heart linked this in the other thread.

If you ever plan on watching again, this is definitely the version to check out.

Some screens from the video.

I am confident Xenblade X will sell over 1 million worldwide. You do realize that the original Xenoblade was pirated 1 million times? This doesn't mean 1 million people will now buy the next game because it's going to be available, but what it does mean is that a heck of a lot of people at least tried the first game and now could be interested in the sequel.

The Wii did have a higher user base, but not really the same kind of audience. Most people that were even still bothering with the Wii at that late stage were not interested in massive RPGS. The Wii was by and large a casual machine. I would argue that the potential audience for this second game is just as high as the first. The people that own a Wii U don't own one for casual games, they own it to play Nintendo games.

More people now realize that Monolith Soft is Nintendo thanks to the attention the last game got, I think this will also help with sales as more people will be willing to buy a game from Nintendo, especially when not many games come out for the Wii U, maybe one or two must haves a month if that.

Damn this guy really did translate everything!

Was looking over the part where they said that the information gathered by the data probes would change what NLA inhabitants would say.

I wonder just how many sidequests X will end up having. If Xenoblade 1 had 400+, then this sequel must have at least x2-3 the amount, if not more. As long as they treat the side quests the same way by not making them mandatory, then it's fine. I do hope we get to see something similar to Colony 6 again. It was fun to finally finish it and see all that hard work and time meant something besides obtaining money, XP and Affnity and a couple of NPC shops to buy equipment from It was nice to have some of those side story quests too, albeit late in the game from areas like Colony 6.

Oh god. I tend to want to finish every quest. Xenoblade had some 470. Even double that would be nearly 1000. I'd never finish the game.

I suspect there will be about 500. Just a guess. Depends on if there is more than one city I guess.

let us say you can get 4 quests done in 60 minutes of playtime
4 x 300 hours = 1200 quests lol

I say 4 per hour it could take have that time to do 4 but just adding travel explore and battle time to round out a full game experience

so 800 - 1200 is a scary number for me

I apologize in advance if this isn't right place for this...

I had no interest in getting a Wii U until I discovered this thread and wow does Xenoblade Chronicles X it look amazing!

What's the consensus? Import a Wii U or just wait until it gets released in the US?
