Those are not very good, but the PS3 games, particularly Demon's Souls and Dark Souls II (I don't remember Dark Souls's loading times on PS3 so well) were about that length. So not really an issue for me. Plus one of my all-time favourite game is Blood Omen on the PS1, sooooo....
They could make the screen less boring though, for sure.
Loading times aren't going to differ based on which version you bought. All games are installed to the HDD regardless.
Dark Souls 2 had apparently faster loading times on the digital version vs retail. So maybe there will be something like that too? Or is the PS4 architecture different?
The average PS3 player died 860 times before completing Dark Souls 2. If each loading time was 30 seconds the time spent staring at the loading screen is over 6 hours.
WTF? That's the
average? I checked my offline death count on a character that was at the end of NG+ and with tons of PvP and coop sessions and she had less than 500 deaths, and I died stupidly all the time. I refuse to believe that this is the average...
But in any case, on PS3, the loading times
were at about 30 seconds each time, whether it was bonfire warping, invading/being summoned into another world, or respawning from death. So, meh.
