Admitting you're not ready is the first step towards being ready, but then you had to ruin it by saying you're ready. So...not ready.

Having a readytini. That's, surprisingly, an actual thing.

Since this is the real OT, I'll ask again:

What gender will your Hunter be, and what will you name him/her?

I'm making a female Hunter and naming her Helvetica. I used this name for previous Souls characters.

What starting Origin will you choose?

I'm going with a Skill (the new Dex) build, so I'm going with
Professional
, which has the highest starting Skill.

Man it's nice to actually feel excited to get a game. Even when I bought my Xboxone for Sunset which I was excited to play I wasn't that juiced. It feels like the gen is finally starting.

I hate living in the UK! How am I going to wait until friday for this? This is like a years worth of extreme hype surging through my veins.

I wasn't ridiculously hyped for this or anything even though I was anticipating it, but it's really starting to get to me now. I'm just as excited for the reviews. Can't wait. It feels like this might be the first really big must own exclusive new gen title which is nice since we're 16 or so months into the life cycle of these consoles.

So for those that know, what stats should I focus on for the coolest weapons. I enjoy fast paced combat, what should I be focusing on.

So apparently, Type-0 HD isn't in Best Buy's systems yet(to trade in). So according to them, I can't trade it in with them at the moment since it's a new game or something. I guess I'll have to trade it in at GameStop.

Ugh, want to get Bloodborne(even though I sucked at Demon's/Dark Souls).

Sorry for the newb question - what's the difference between strength and skill?

Strength = More damage per strike, but slower.

Skill = Opposite of strength.

Different weapons will scale to Str, Skl or Arkane. You're going to want to use the weapons that utilize your attributes most effectively.

Yeah...just got off the phone with amazon, they told me my ce wasn't in stock and they had no idea when it'd be available to ship. Fuck that. Cancelled that shit, bought the digital edition, currently downloading. I'm pissed though since my internet sucks and I probably won't get to play it right at launch...first time amazon has ever let me down. Feels bad.

Female, named Sil, because that's what I always do. As far as Origin... I don't know. I'll probably decide in the moment. I might take the bloodtinge heavy one just to be defiant since that stat feels less useful right now.

Also.. PSN: twotimingpete

anyone here who will be playing bloodborne please add me. ;)

Sorry for the newb question - what's the difference between strength and skill?

Some weapons are going to be more skill-based and some will be more strength-based, both used as a requirement to wield the weapon and as your source of damage, which essentially means the higher you have that stat the more damage that weapon does (in a nutshell). Upgrading a weapon will increase the amount of damage scaled by that stat. Strength also universally increases damage and I think Skill universally increases resistances to damage.
